Daniel C. must have been there the same day I was because I too got irritated and left. I won't be back-----ever. I've spent too much money here to have to stand and wait while they can't be arsed to help me. I wouldn't care if they were the only store in town, because nowadays we have this thing called the Internet. And you can use it and order things online. Speaking of which, I find it awfully curious that they are suddenly carrying Fluval LED lights, especially now that Petco has stopped carrying these particular lights. They've stopped carrying them because Fluval stopped making them. Rumor has it the owner was seen in several Petco locations buying them up when they were 50% off. Not illegal mind you, but they are now selling discontinued lights that are listed at near their original price.

Waited for 20 minutes after asking fornhelp just to find the employees chatting. Will never shop here agian!

people complain about the prices, I find they are just a bit higher but you have to understand they are a small business not a major chain so they can't compete with petco, petsmart, or any other large chain pet store. I am on great terms with the girls that work their and sometimes one person is stretched between several people. I will always go there and buy if they have what I want. I do like the fact they change their stock around depending on what their sellers are offering.

I've been in this store many times. I've bought several things in this store. All of their aquariums for sale are in a separate building. Every time I have asked to see them, they are too busy, have too many other things to do or I stand there and wait and wait till I can't wait anymore and leave. Today I went in looking around. Sometimes they don't have what I'm looking for and I look and leave. I was looking for a certain fish. They had some but we're $20 higher than everywhere else. Almost double! So I passed. On my way out, they asked if I found everything ok. One girl that works there and is usually friendly said "oh, he just comes in and hangs out". No, I come in and if you have what I want, I buy. If not or its outrageously priced, I leave. I told the guy what I was looking for and they had it, but it was almost twice as much as everywhere else. He asked where and I told him. He didn't seem to care. He said sometimes they have them on sale for what everybody else charges, but I have never seen anything "on sale". Funny, 3 weeks ago they were the same price. Everything is high. The Matrix carbon I get at another store is $12.95 and I usually pay $7.00 across town. Again almost double. Good place to go in an emergency, but do yourself a favor and check out other shops. They just don't seem very interested in selling anything.

Fresh water: the fish are healthy and they have an okay selection.

Saltwater:

The fish seem healthy, not much if a selection.

As for corals, I wouldn't buy them. All of the tanks had aptasia. Several tanks had bubble algae infestations. Coral prices: $30 and up. There were no cheap frag tanks. These tanks are seriously in bad shape. Don't take the risk unless you willing to fight the algae and anemones.
