They totally disregard the fact that patients take off work to get their exams. I agree with other reviewers that you wait and wait and wait. Staff is very impersonal. They need to treat patients like customers and not just pairs of eyes. I will give them one more chance but not at the Canton Road clinic.

Ditto to others with a bad experience. Like heard g cattle very slowly. Very impersonal staff. I don't like the kiosk while 3 people are sitting doing nothing. Check out girls was very unhappy and the doc was in a huge hurry. Gave me no extra info. I really hate that I have to pay for this experience. I won't go back.

Had a very bad experience at Marietta eye clinic. Felt like a meat locker. Appt was at 8:30. Finally seen at 9:25 by a tech who did my exam. I thought it was going to be done by a dr. not a TECH. What a rip off. Then I waited another hr to see the dr for 45 seconds. I just was not satisfied at all. Next time I will stick to smaller offices where you get a real dr to exam your eyes. They could have cared less about wasting my time. Guess I didn't rate a real dr to see me.

Had a great experience with Dr. Byron Long and the staff at Marietta Eye Clinic. I recently required an eye procedure that needed to be performed by an oculoplastic specialist and after much research and consideration chose Dr. Long as my surgeon. At my pre-op appointment he performed a thorough exam and then talked with me for an extended period to answer all of my questions and make sure I understood everything that was being discussed and recommended. Dr. Long’s staff then took additional time to review my pre-op and post-op instructions and gave me a clear overview of how the surgery center process would work on the day of my procedure.

I won’t go into a lot of details about my surgical experience beyond saying that I am absolutely delighted with the results. I had been warned beforehand to expect bruising and swelling and even a moderate amount of pain after the procedure was completed. Instead, I experienced minimal bruising and swelling and only required Tylenol for a couple of days to handle some mild discomfort. I will say that I followed Dr. Long’s post-op instructions to the letter, with the key being regularly placing ice packs on my eyes the first few days. I also believe that Dr. Long’s precise and gentle surgical techniques played a large role in keeping post-op issues to a minimum. In addition, both Dr. Long and his nursing staff called me after my procedure to make sure that I was healing well and to answer any questions that might have arisen.

At my post-op follow-up appointment, Dr. Long removed my sutures and again, took as much time as needed to discuss my procedure and outline what I needed to do over the next few days and weeks to ensure that I had an optimal outcome. I was very impressed with both Dr. Long’s skill as a surgeon and his warm bedside manner and would highly recommend him to anyone in the Atlanta area in need of an oculoplastic surgeon.

I am very pleased with the service and improvement in my Vision from Marietta Eye Clinic. I can read, see and drive again with confidence.

My story.

Two years ago in the bright California desert sun, I had headaches and the signal from my right eye so interfered with the left that it was just easier to close my eyes. Soon after returning to Georgia, I set an appointment with Dr. Thurswell at Marietta Eye Clinic. I was referred to Dr. Cohen. I suffered from cataracts and Fuch's [be careful how you pronounce Fuch's] dystrophy in both eyes. I started eye drops and soon had right eye surgery to correct both conditions and wore a contact lens [thank you Dr. Russel] in the right eye. My vision went from two lines below the big E to better than20/60. An incredible improvement.

The left eye had cataract surgery after the right eye healed. Within a few days my left eye I vision went from the

big E to 20/40, without glasses or contacts. I can read from inches away to far, far down the highway. With glasses the left eye can achieve 20/20. After wearing glasses for 26 years I am delighted to be done with them. No more fogging or rain drips

Sight goes away slowly and the change from day to day is minimal, then one day you get out of bed and can't see much of anything. But it can be restored in my situation almost overnight.

I typically don't comment on things but vision is so important. How could I not share?

I m sorry I had to give them 1 star, wish I could give them 0 stars!

Will never go back. I have been trying for over 2 months to get a refund of the money that they collected from me, that... I should have never had to pay in the first place. I am double insured. My insurance picked up 100% of the cost of all my surgery related expenses. For months I ve been trying to get the $500+ that they made me pay before surgery. They are only interested in getting your money. 0 customer service!! Do yourself a favor...go somewhere else...anywhere else!!

2 months later....

Well once again they have lied to me!! 2 months ago when they filed on my Secondary insurance, it was filed as though it was primary and they were overpaid by about $2000. They refused to refund my money because they were overpaid by my secondary and they claimed that they needed to get refile my surgery and get paid the correct amount before they could issue me a refund. Found out today when I called BCBS, they never refiled it. Imagine that!! So today, I did their work for them and I send my secondary insurance the EOB s from my primary so that HOPEFULLLY someday I can get back the money they owe me. They are worse than worthless!! This is the surgery center! They want your money, that is all they care about!!

I had eye surgery and had to wait hours for every appointment. I am having problems related to the surgery and had an appointment scheduled. I arrived 15 minutes early and waited for one hour when they asked me to reschedule because the were behind schedule. Since I had taken off from work, I wanted to wait and asked how long it would be. She returned 10 minutes later and said that it would be 2 more hours. Three hours is too long to wait for a 10 minute visit with a doctor. Also, the billing is horrible. I continue to receive bills for hundreds with no details.

I received LASIK at Marietta...

I received LASIK at Marietta Eye Clinic 2 months ago. I have to say I am very pleased with my results. The staff is very friendly and my experience was very pleasant. I was extremely satisfied with the level of attention I received from the actual surgeon. Not only did I see him at my first visit but every time after. He was always making sure I was satisfied with my outcome and showed excitement with my results. I thought it was really neat seeing him on my 1 day post op and having him “congratulate” me on my new set of eyes. I never thought I would have such crisp clear vision like a do now. I will ONLY return to Marietta Eye Clinic for my eyes. It’s hard to find Doctors that you can really trust… not only with yourself but with your eyes. I HAVE FOUND THEM! Highly recommend Marietta Eye Clinic for not only LASIK but every kind of eye care need.

Marietta Eye care is the WORST...

Marietta Eye care is the WORST!!! The service and processes are not fine tuned to the customer and they don't care. It took over a month to get glasses...I ordered two frames and they were to be sent to a location close to my home instead they sat for weeks at the far away location that they told me I had to go to select them...then when I called to inquire...they sent them to the wrong location. I called and it was resolved...ending in z write off of additional charges for the particular frame I wanted and sunglasses...ok great...but now the glasses have chipped..I was told we don't guarantee the wont scratch..they are just resistant...but my ins pays to remake...it has been over a week...got a call and was told I need to come in for appt to remake...I made it but had to reshed due to conflict..called back and the person who I spoke with said ok I will change hold on..I held for over 5 mns...then someone else came on and said actually you dont need to come in...this location is far from my house..I would have driven there for nothing..if I hadnt called back...the person then said "oh she is new does not work here often, etc."..I said well that should be transparent to the customer I dont care if she has been there 2 mns or 2 yrs....I would have come in for the out of the way appt that was not needed....operations may be the problem..My doctors were great....

Wonderful!

I could not be happier with my entire experience. Dr. Thurschwell saw me for my first appointment, and he was great. He then referred me to Dr. Ho for my eye surgery and he was excellent as well. Their staff were aslo wonderful -very knowledgeable and helpful. I have had issues with my vision for quite sometime, and after doing research and getting recommendations I chose to go to Marietta Eye Clinic and have surgery with Dr. Ho, and I'm very glad I did!

The all time joke of eye exams

My eye exam was done by an assistant - not a doctor. I sat in the exam room for 2 and a half hours waiting for this? Then they wanted to charge extra for a "contact lens" exam!!! I have been wearing lenses for 1o years - it is a racket. BE AWARE!!

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your review. On behalf of Marietta Eye Clinic, I sincerely apologize that you did not have a positive experience during your eye exam. We do have a staff of certified ophthalmic technicians and assistants who collect information for our physicians to review as part of the examination. I completely understand the frustration with spending over 2 hours of your valuable time in the office. We are currently working on ways to make visits to our practice more efficient without sacrificing patient care. The contact lens examinations are typically offered to our patients who have an Rx change or who may benefit from trying a different type of lens. The fee that is assessed includes all of the follow up visits and trial lenses needed in order to ensure that the best visual outcome is reached. Your feedback is very important to us, and I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your visit with us so we can improve in the future. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience, my direct contact information is listed below. Unhappy Customer

I do not wear glasses, but had to go the Marietta Eye Clinic in East Cobb due to an eye infection. Check in and check out service were very speedy, however, it was 1 hour and 45 minutes from my appt. time until I was able to see the doctor. This doctor spent all of 2 minutes in my room, forgot to write me one perscription, when asked about the perscription, I was told to have my pharmacy call his office and they would give it to him. I left with my eye practly swelled shut and was told someone would call me shortly to schedule some surgery. My pharmacist called and left 2 messages for my perscription, and never heard back. I received a phone call to schedule surgery 3 days later, 1 day after the day it was supposed to be done. AND I WAS CHARGED $233 FOR THIS!!!!!!!! To top it all off, I my way out, I notice a piece of paper posted to the check in / check out staff "bragging" that they saw 174 patients the day before. This place is all about over booking and over charging. Like the others, I would not have even gave them the one star that I was forced to give.

Pathetic

My family and I have visited Marietta Eye Clinic multiple times, and EVERY time we go, there is a problem. If we have to order glasses or contacts, they ALWAYS get the order wrong, and when its 're-ordered' (I use quotations because half the time they dont re-order them until you have waited a week and call to check) its wrong AGAIN! We are DONE!

Great Eye Clinic

A few weeks ago, I visited Marietta Eye Clinic for the first time and found it to be a WONDERFUL clinic. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a friendly "Hello" from the front desk person. Then, after I filled out my new patient forms, I was escorted to the waiting area.

The doctor was so wonderful. He was very friendly and did a thorough check of my eyes. (I had chronic pink eye that just would not go away... turned out to be a virus instead of pink eye.) I had been to my primary care physician several times and could not shake this "pink eye." Marietta Eye Clinic's doctor cured it with one visit!

These docs know what they are doing.

I am so sorry to say that I can't remember the docs name... but he is awesome! They are friendly and know what they are doing.

TERRIBLE SERVICE

This particular Marietta Eye Clinic has the worst customer service of any medical facility I have EVER been to - period. You are nothing but a number there. The wait to see a doctor for your "appointment" time is about 1 - 2 hours. If you leave a message for a nurse to call you back about the status of your glasses/contacts - forget it! It ain't happening. I've been so desperate at times I've considered sending a dozen long-stemmed roses to whomever I'm trying to contact, just to get some service. Also, the "Insurance Goddess" over there "ripped" into ME for the way the doctor filed my claim with the insurance company.

I have a family member who sees another doctor at this clinic and has had pretty much the same experience, particularly with the waiting room times.
