Safety First Driving School

Mrs. Fuqua did a great job teaching my daughter how to drive. She established a rapport with her, while keeping a professional distance. She made sure that she understood the real-world value of driving techniques and pushed her outside of her comfort zone. She tested her ability to focus despite distractions, she required her to drive in a wide variety of traffic situations (e.g., busy parking lot, rush hour on route 7 and in Purcellville), hilly country roads on the weekend, etc.) and didn't pass her until she had the confidence to believe she could drive on her own. Overall, it was an excellent experience for my daughter and we have recommended her to a number of our friends.

Where to begin.....it's been a little over a year when I first started driving and to be honest, I still didn't want my license. My driving skills weren't the problem in this case, more like my confidence. But instead of being a burden to my parents for a another two or three months, I felt like it was about time to at least try to get that license and see what comes after. When it came to choosing the the instructor, it was a piece of cake. My brother and a handful of students I went to school with had Ms. Fuqua and let me tell you, they ALL absolutely loved her. She's the kind of person that knows how to balance seriousness and being laid back. Also, she not only teaches you how to drive the road on any normal day, but she preps you for circumstances that we don't usually think about. This includes how to avoid a drunk driver coming onto your lane or an individual behind you, texting and not paying attention. Most of all, she teaches you confidence. She gives you that extra boost to say, I'm in control of this car and this car does not control me. After driving with her for a week, I feel like a totally new person. Unlike most student driver instructors, she gives you the license only when she and yourself feel ready, not after the third or fourth day. The course is a full week, but can be longer for others. Ms. Fuqua actually cares about her students and won't let anyone on the road alone until they're a 100% ready. If I was a parent looking for a safe, comfortable, and professional driving instructor, I wouldn't trust anyone else besides Ms. Fuqua.

Ms. Fuqua is awesome. Thats all I have to say. To have someone that truly cares about your saftey and wants you to have the best experience as a driver is really important to a teenage driver. Our driving confidence is very low and we are nervous but she makes us become fantastic responsible drivers, who never forget thier time with her, and have a smile on thier face everyday remembering the great memories. Also when your super strict police officer dad approves of her you know your set! haha:) Take Fuqua because unlike most adults who just breeze through the class..............SHE CARES.
