Shogun Japanese Steak, Seafood & Sushi

Got there at 915 and waited a couple minutes to be seated but instead was told they were closed. So I ask what time they closed he said 915 so I said well what time is it he said 915. How rude was that? Although they were suppose to be open until ten. Was not happy at all since we had just drove thirty minutes to get there. Next time atleast lock the door if you are supposedly closed!!! I spoke to the manager an her excuse was everyone was tired and wanted to go home early. I WON'T BE GOING BACK!!!!

My family LOVE this place, convenience, spacious, relaxing environment, very friendly staffs/servers, cooks are funny and entertaining, this is my 3 children (from age 6 to 20') 's first choice when we eating out.

Most important of all is the healthy low fat, and fresh ingredients they serve us. We've never disappointed.

PS: Sushi chef and Manager is the BEST in town.

This is an excellent place to dine out for dinner. The non-sushi dinners are great. If you want to try this place just for the sushi I would not recommend it if you have had some of the best sushi. It isn't bad, but just not the best in Louisville. If you just want sushi, try somewhere else. But, if you are dining with some that like and some that do not like sushi, it has a variety of both on the menu.

Asked for water to drink and waitress brought it with a fly in the bottom of the glass (no kidding - even the sushi chef saw it). Then, the waitress charged me for a soft drink on my check, even though I only drank water (the sushi chef laughed again and said she was charging me for the fly - I'm serious). It upset me enough to explain the situation to the manager. He took my name, phone number and address, promising to send me coupons for a return visit to the restaurant in the mail. No coupons ever showed. I'll spend my money at one of the other sushi restaurants in the city next time.
