Urinary Incontinence
Aleksandra has also taken a interest in treating the pelvic floor, diastasis recti and helping decrease symptoms of urinary incontinence mainly in postpartum women. She completed courses on the pelvic floor to treat externally and internally for pelvic floor dysfunction and incontinence. She will continue taking courses to expand treatment for interstitial cystitis.

Throughout the pandemic PT Works is eager to learn the developments on booster shots and the recommendations from public health authorities. Kristin received a B.S. in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1981. In 1998 she co-founded PT Works with Alison Barker. Kristin has worked in the Bay Area in out patient orthopedics since 1983. She has taken a variety of graduate level courses and has formed her own "art" to treatment of orthopedic dysfunctions and oncology post cancer care including lymphedema management. She is a member of the APTA.

Maude received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Her first three years as a physical therapist were spent in the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago treating individuals with neurological impairments. Since then Maude has worked in outpatient Orthopedics except for a four year stint teaching orthopedic assessment and treatment development to the students in the Physical Therapy Graduate Program at Northwestern.

Sports Medicine
We provide treatment for post surgical patients, sports medicine injuries, spinal care, high level neurological dysfunctions, and general orthopedic conditions.
Physical Therapy
Under California law, you have direct access to physical therapy services for a period of up to 45 calendar days or 12 visits, whichever occurs first. After the period of time or number of visits are exhausted and services are still necessary, a physical therapist may continue providing physical therapy only after receiving a signed and dated referral from a physician holding a license from the Medical, Osteopathic or Podiatric Boards of Medicine. The physician must indicate approval of the physical therapy plan of care and that an in-person examination was conducted by the physician. Patients have direct access, however, this may not be acceptable to your insurance who may require a referral for medical necessity and/or prior authorization to process your claims. Manual Therapy
Tammy has a special interest in ACL injuries and lower extremity biomechanics. She has attended a series of patello-femoral/knee injuries and functional biomechanics of the lower quarter continuing education courses. Although her interests lie with the lower extremity she excels at manual therapy and functional rehabilitation in all areas of orthopedic injuries.
Geriatrics
TMJ Dysfunction
Alison's specialties include manual therapy, functional rehabilitation, and treatment of lumbo-pelvic, shoulder, and upper cervical/TMJ dysfunction. Her early training in a rehabilitation setting instilled a firm belief in the importance of comprehensive care for improved optimal function of all patients including geriatric, pediatric, and sports medicine.

Ankle Sprain
Although he is generally healthy he had knee and ankle injuries resulting from competitive sports and completed his own physical therapy to get back to 100%. Ian has found that the human body has a great capacity to recover and through his own rehabilitation he found his passion in outpatient physical therapy. He enjoys working with patients with a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions and understands how important it is for his patients to be able to physically participate in recreational and daily activities. Ian is methodical yet creative and finds ways to help patients move better so that they can return to the activities that they love.
