Founded in 1982, Koinonia Foster Homes Inc. is a state-licensed, non-profit public service organization for children. Based in Loomis, Calif., it offers various programs, including therapeutic foster care, adoption, day treatment, services for the medically fragile, residential group homes for chemically dependent adolescents and more. The agency works in cooperation with county social service agencies who remove children from their homes due to neglect, abandonment, abuse, guardian absence or voluntary placement.
