On October 14, 2018 I arrived at the dealership and greeted by David Morey. I explained to David that my mother was trying to purchase a Kia Optima we found online. David quickly pulled up the listing and we went on a test drive around the block. The vehicle during the test drive didn't exhibit any problems, but we didn't drive the vehicle that rough.
After test driving the vehicle David crunched numbers with us and after taxes and Dealer Fees, the price went from $7,999 to just over $11,000. I explained to David that this was too much considering the fact that the vehicle was used with just over 84,000 miles on it. I tried to talk down and eliminate the "Dealer Fees". David explained that the vehicle is still fairly new and it comes with a 100,000 mile warranty. In addition to that David explained that the reason why the vehicle has dealer fees attached to the overall cost is because they mounted new tires and gave the vehicle a certified pre-owned inspection. David was very adamant that the vehicle was mechanically sound.
David insisted that "Dealer Fees" cannot be taken off due to a state law. He did cut the cost of the vehicle to $9,500. David brought Corey Clough to help close the deal.
After hearing David out we weren't entirely sold right away and went to a few other dealerships. A few hours later we went back to Orlando Kia North and spoke to David. David was tied up with a customer and we spoke to Corey again. I asked Corey if we can talk down on price anymore. The final price we got to was $9,263, we purchased the vehicle.

INITAL ISSUES:

1. Roughly a few weeks later we drove back to the dealership to pick up our Vehicle Registration. On the way back home we were trying to pass a vehicle on the interstate and I pressed on the gas, as soon as I pressed on the gas I hear a loud rattling sound and the car was struggling to pick up speed. This almost sounded like transmission was giving out. The drive home was fine and the car didn't have that problem after that particular situation.

2. On 12/01/18 after the first incident we noticed the vehicle didn't want to start right away. Sounded like starter issues to me. To make matters worse that night the A/C stopped blowing cold air. So we took it out for a drive around the block. It had seemed as if the problem had gotten worse. The car not only would not pick up speed, but it was smoking slightly from the exhaust pipes and you can smell a strong burning odor.
Immediately after seeing this I called Orlando Kia North and spoke to Mohammed the Sales Manager. I explained the situation, Mohammed seemed like he couldn't care less. I explained that I want to bring the vehicle in as soon as possible and that we purchased it recently. Mohammed and I coordinated a date for Tuesday.
Brought it in Tuesday and a bunch more issues transpired with service and warranty. I called Kia Corporate and filed a complaint. Ever since this Orlando Kia has failed to return any phone calls. I just got rid of the vehicle yesterday after 53 days of owning it. I was lied about a warranty and condition of the vehicle. Please do yourself a favor and don’t purchase a vehicle from this bad business.

**12 Kia Optima SX White/Black, VIN- 0305**They wasted my time! We agreed to price along with the fix of the rearview camera. I didn't need any financing. I had a check ready to go. Drove back next day, 40 mins, left work 2 hours early. They did a SWITCH AND BAIT! No one called or told me-- despite the fact I spoke with them 3 times. They tried to sell me another car, less features, more miles for the same price. They told me that the vehicle was going to cost them too much to repair because of electrical problems, so they were going to auction It Off. All lies! The same vehicle with same VIN was put online on their lot for $3,000 more. How is this a Q Certified vehicle with a 150 Inspection and it has electrical problems? DEALERSHIPS LIKE THIS SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! UNPROFESSIONAL!! #kiausa #kia #garbage #switchnbait #scammers #scam #hyundai

On the upside, i ended up going to Bill Bryan Kia Leesburg. Bough my Red Kia Optima SX with less miles, better condition, better price.

Overall

This was truly one of my best car buying experiences ever. Abdel was great! First he listened to what I said I wanted. Then he took me directly to the area he knew I'd be interested in. He showed me what was available on the lot according to my specifications (surprising) but true!!! I test drove the Forte I had described to him and loved it!! We then went inside and talked price. I had exactly what I could spend on me. With out any pressure we came to an agreement and I am now driving the car I went there for!!! Thank you Abdel!!!!! I would recommend you to anyone.........

TOTAL WASTE OF TIME I went in...

TOTAL WASTE OF TIME

I went in twice knowing exactly what I wanted but left empty handed. After wasting time test driving again on the second visit, I was able to speak to a salesperson that could speak my language and we were finally able to come up with a reasonable price. However, they didn't have it on the lot and their computers were down so they couldn't locate one either. The next day, I received the call that they found a car but it was out of state and that I'd have to pay $500 for them to go get. I begrudgingly agreed. Then the next day, I got a phone call that due to a failed computer problem, the car they were going to get for me was sold to someone else. They found another car in South Carolina but it had some extra port/dealer fees that were going to cost an extra $480 on top of my $500 . After going back and forth via text because I was at work, the salesperson, Jason tells me that it was in his opinion that I was getting a great deal and that I might as well spend a little more and get what I want rather than pay less for something I didn't. He also said it was better to live rich then die rich. I guess this was his way of justifying unnecessary fees for me, which is not his call. After much going back and forth over this ridiculousness, I backed out and asked for my $500 deposit back. They made me come down there to pick up a receipt, which I did because at that point, I didn't trust them. When I got there, they surprisingly offered me the same car that had supposedly been sold and would wave the $480 fee!! But I was so burnt out from Jason, I could only muster up to say that this was way too difficult of a process to proceed with anything and if I ran my business this way, I wouldn't have one. I DO NOT recommend!

Shopping for a car can be nerv...

Shopping for a car can be nerve recking, but when coupled with dishonest salesmen and marketing schemes which perpectuate false promises and ploys to simply get you into the dealership it is even the more DREADFUL. Orlando Kia North in Longwood was by FAR the WORST sales experience I have ever encountered.

1.) When you call-your calls are automatically routed to a call center. You don't even speak with someone directly at the dealership!!!!!

2.) I drove almost an hour to get there because I thought I was going to get a great deal.

3.) After submitting a credit app, income verification, my desired monthly payment and title for my trade (as the down payment)... I was PROMISED that I would leave in the car in which I desired-the KIA SORENTO Models (2005-2012) IT DID NOT HAPPENED... The monthly payment was $210....MORE than my budgeted payment....and they still wanted additional money for down payment.

4.) After speaking with the sales manager: CHUCK GOLDEN I was even more disgusted with the customer service. As he attempted to out talk me- he showed me exactly how much integrity HE DOES NOT HAVE!!!

Long story short...I was SORE DISPLEASED WITH THE SERVICE & ENTIRE EXPERIENCE. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND ORLANDO KIA NORTH TO ANYONE!!!! ...A COMPLETE WASTE....

I had read reviews on the deal...

I had read reviews on the dealership so I was very careful. I live 200+ miles away and the dealership had the car I was looking for and the price was exactly what I wanted to pay, so I was willing to risk it. What I did do was ensure that they 100% ran my credit, found the exact lender, apr, and payment terms prior to driving down. All we had to do once I got there was fill out the paper work. The process was simple, easy, and painless. This was my second long distance vehicle purchase and securing all of these items prior to walking in the door makes everything so much simpler. It is literally sign and drive.

Overall
This is truly one of the worst...

This is truly one of the worst dealerships. I got into contact with them to purchase a new KIA, I was actually convinced over the phone after they reviewed my credit that they would do "anything" to sell me car....I went in expecting $450 car payments with zero down (which was actually quoted from another dealer). They had the nerve to quote me $800 monthly payments with a $6000 down payment....lol on a Sorento...Its laughable that they actually thought I would consider this. DO NOT SEE EARL he will not listen to anything you say. He argued with me the ENTIRE time to the point where I felt attacked. By the way their cars are more expensive then other kia dealerships...I guess they are trying to make up for the lack of sales....I also was VERY clear on what I wanted before I even walked in the door.
