-TO DANIELVOTH

I would like to start of with saying that Daniel Voth himself is a nice gentlemen , great guy with a great attitude, but as far as the company itself i think it can do a much better job especially without that general manager named Micheal kinst! Horrible manegering skills, horrible attitude, horrible mechanicle skills, everything he tries to fix breaks that same day, if something breaks down and he doesn't feel like reparing it he'll wait untill it becomes dangerous then hell fix it, dont believe the comment he left he is clearly not manager material, hes a joke... My point is Dan if you wish to succeed with your company get rid of that micheal k.. trust me this isnt me talking crap, ive actually worked at MD

My name is Michael and I am the General Manager of M.D. Lawn Care. I have had the chance to review the negative comments posted on this website and others like it. I would like to take this time to apologize to those customers that have had a negative experience utilizing M.D. Lawn Care's services.

M.D. Lawn Care has been in business for 23 years. We have been providing quality service to our over 1,200 customers in Dupage and Northern Cook County. Unfortunately, the acts of a few individuals have negatively impacted our company and what we strive to achieve. While we cannot take back what has happened, myself and management are working diligently to fix the problems that have occurred. Below are steps that we have currently taken:

1, Employees that were providing inefficient services to our cherished customers have been let go.

2, We have created a new extensive training and safety program for all new hires.

3, We have added a Quality Control Manager, who is responsible for checking each home weekly, in order to assure the job has been completed professionally.

4, We will be asking our customers to provide email addresses, so we can send out updates regarding any delays our crews experience and any specials we will be offering .

5, We are updating our office software to ensure that our billing problems are corrected once and for all.

I am responsible for the problems that each of these people have written about. I have been greatly impacted by the amount of negative responses our customers have experienced. However, I will make sure moving forward, that our entire customer base is happy with the service they pay for.

Since starting to use MD Lawn Care in the Spring of 2012, we have had NOTHING but problems!!! This "company" should be out of business. They NEVER come the same day of the week. They NEVER send the same crew. If it hasn't rained for weeks and you are thinking about canceling that week, they will come earlier in the week, UNANNOUNCED, before you have a chance to cancel. Want to call and complain? Don't bother! They NEVER answer the phone or call customers back. They have made UNAUTHORIZED charges to our credit card on several occasions, claiming to have never received prior payments for services rendered. When shown proof of bank statements, they still have not refunded us. If you get mad enough at them and decide to visit their home office in person, good luck finding it! They are located at 1235 Highland in Lombard (tiny brown brick building behind Walgreens). I am so descriptive because neither my gps or I could find it after driving around aimlessly for 30 mins. After asking a passing mailman where it was, he instructed me that they are EXTREMELY difficult to find (new postmen often don't deliver their mail because they cant find them either) and you can only go through the back entrance of the building up some iron stairs. There are NO signs at all to guide you. The last straw for us was when we cancelled early 3 weeks ago, due to drought, they sent the crew out anyways (a day earlier than the week before). Thankfully, we were home and instructed them to leave because we had cancelled. Well they have not been back since, even though we have called almost every day for the past week. We have a family party tomorrow and our yard looks like a jungle! We had to go out and BUY a lawnmower today, but we consider ourselves much better off this way than having to deal with this HORRIBLE excuse for a company EVER AGAIN! Don't waste your hard earned money! Find ANYONE else to do your lawn... the kid next door would probably do a better job anyways!

Allow me to begin by saying I am usually a skeptic when it comes to online reviews; thinking they’re written by outliers. With that said, I cannot be among the minority when it comes to this company…

I engaged M.D.Lawn Care during the beginning of spring (our first spring as homeowners). I had a nice conversation with Brian and expressed my interest in their weekly mowing service, spring clean-up and landscaping.

The “company” provided 8 weeks of total service before we discontinued with them. During those 8 weeks, I had to make 6 service calls. I’ll keep it simple by summarizing – we never heard back after multiple inquiries on the spring clean-up service (never happened…I guess they’re above target revenue), follow-up from landscape (never happened/no call back), 2 week lag on weekly lawn maintenance (looked like our house was in foreclosure), and finally…they didn’t cut the whole yard!

My wife warned me…you get what you pay for. The weekly service was $25. I guess for that price one would expect a couple high school, stoner drop-outs to briefly skim over your yard for about 15 minutes a week, right? Other offers in the area are $27.50 - $35/week. M.D. ‘provides’ additional service that are also offered by other companies. Go with the other companies. It is not worth your time (yes, you’re time because you are always initiating calls).

Bold prediction! – M.D. is out of business by year-end, 2014.

good service

Called MD Lawncare to get a quote. The person at customer service was very friendly and answered all my questions. We got the quote quickly at a fair price. The guys came out to start the job a couple days later and did a good job. Happy with their service.

Can't get it right?!

Customer service is very helpful, but if you don't have the skilled labor to fulfill the obligation it's difficult to get the job done.

After several visits and attempts at correcting the lawn. I had to cancel my annual contract with them. Very sloppy work to say the least.
