Maiwand Kabob

I went to the Maiwan Kabob often when I lived on Columbia Md. and was happy to see them on Grubhub. The Naan was burnt. The kofka kabob was dry and flavorless. I paid a 6.00 fee and a delivery charge. The delivery person called me from down the block and I had to come out to him. Mind you the house # is very clearly marked on the mailbox and over the front door which was also well lit.

This is a real gem hidden in an enclave of office buildings. Have been coming back for several years because of the excellent lamb kabobs and kofte. This is the best of the three locations in my area--they always serve my lamb cooked per my request: juicy, not overlooked. If it weren't for the excellent food, I might object to the crowded lunch room atmosphere. Office workers pack in at lunch time while evenings are less hectic and attract more ethnic diners. You place your order at the counter and then pick a table or booth--they will bring your food to you. I guess the spartan surroundings help keep the prices low. Would recommend this to anyone looking try Mediterranean food without having to venture into the city.
