Liposuction or suction lipectomy is a very popular procedure to remove fat from unwanted area. These include the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks, and neck, liposuction, Over the years many refinements have been added to the procedure. These new techniques include ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty (UAL), Power assisted liposuction, SmartLipo® the tumescent technique, and the super-wet technique. The newer techniques allow better definition of the areas where liposuction is performed and at the same allows the surgeon to reduce the swelling and bruising after the surgery. Keep in mind that liposuction works best if you have localized areas of fat deposits which are stubborn and fail to disappear after exercises. Liposuction cannot help reduce weight.

Eyelid Surgery
They can be combined with your lower eyelid surgery without any additional incisions. If you do not need a lower eyelid surgery the device can be inserted through a small incision in the crow’s feet area and a small incision in the mouth. A small strip with the Endotine® is inserted after your cheeks are elevated and attached to the bone. Once again the device dissolves and disappears in six to nine months leaving the cheek elevated for a prolonged time. And the good news, the device in the cheek cannot be felt. The surgery can be done under local anesthesia or general anesthesia and recovery is short too.
Liposuction
If there is any excess skin it is common to add a surgical removal of the skin along with the liposuction. The younger the patient the better the elasticity and lesser is the need to excise the skin.

Thigh Lift
Lateral or outer thigh lift: Dr. Rane commonly passes a long instrument over the outer thigh when he is performing the extended tummy tuck and elevates or lifts the outer thigh skin and fat. He sutures and fixes this lifted tissue on to the deep tissue around your hip area and thereby creates a smooth contour over the outer aspect of the thigh. This smooth convex contour of the outer thigh merges beautifully with the concave contour in the region of the love handles. This creates an hour glass figure.
Face Lift
As we age and expose to the sun, our skin and the fat over our face tends to sag. This affects more over the mid face (cheek area) and results in nasolabial folds (laugh lines form the side of the nose to the lips). Some develop jowls and in others the neck tends to sag. The fat in the midface tends to drop vertically down and this results in a deflated face. Rhytidectomy or a face lift cannot reverse the effects of aging but it can certainly can turn the clock back so that you look a decade younger.
Neck Lift
Endotine Neck lift: And finally, an Endotine® strip to elevate the sagging neck. A small incision is made just in front and behind the ear lobule and the skin over the neck is lifted under local anesthesia in the office. The device is inserted and the fine hooks allow the fascia under the skin to be elevated. The fine hooks face on the deeper surface and therefore cannot be felt under the skin. The device once again disappears in a few months. Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty usually takes two hours, depending on the extent of the surgery. If you’re having all four eyelids done, I will probably work on the upper lids first, then the lower ones.
Abdominoplasty
Complete abdominoplasty usually takes two and half hours, depending on the extent of work required. Mini abdominoplasty may take an hour or two. The skin incision is commonly made form the right to the left hip bone just above your pubic area so that the final scar is very well hidden. The procedure is involves lifting the skin and the fat from the underlying fascia all the way up to your ribs. The skin around your navel is released. I will then tighten the muscles (your abs) and contour them by suturing them together. This dramatically changes the contour of the abdomen. If you have some laxity of skin in your flanks or on the outside of your thighs, I may sometime extend the incision into the flank. This allows me to remove excess skin from the flank and lift up your thighs. This will result in an hour glass shape and allow you wear low cut jeans and tuck your shirt in. No more of bulging on the sides. The excess skin and the fat is then trimmed so that you have no excess and wrinkly skin. A new navel is created for you and the incision is closed in many layers. You will have two drains that will be left for around three to five days.
Breast Surgery
Once an implant has been placed your body will form some scar tissue around it. If excessive scar tissue is deposited this may lead to capsular contracture. To minimize the chances of this happening implants are placed behind the muscle (submuscular). Some women have residual asymmetry after this surgery. After all, minor asymmetry is present in most women prior to any surgery. Implants generally have a warranty for approximately 10 years and they may need to be replaced at that time. Regular monitoring is essential. Routine mammograms should be performed. Current medical literature does not support any evidence of any link between breast implants and cancer of the breast nor does it support any link between breast implants and autoimmune diseases. Many potential mothers wonder if breast implants obstruct their ability to breast feed. Although pregnancy and similar changes to a woman’s body may change the outcome of any breast surgery, there is generally not an interference with the ability to breast feed. It is very important to discuss your choices of breast implant surgery with your surgeon if you are considering becoming pregnant and breast feed in the future.
