No hearing, their own Arbitration nothing. I was told how Humana HMO, United Healthcare Partners, Genesis, LLC and The Heights of Summerlin Rehab Center, expelled me after only 46 hours of much needed & very helpful physical & pulmonary therapy. ( Lumbar bone disease with acute sciatica and severe arthritic scoliosis; bilateral neuropathy from the waste down with right torn rotator cuff w/ spurs & a dislocated left shoulder; 3- course resistant anti-biotic pneumonia).
The Rehab Director, Mr Aaron Rance, ignored my five voice mails every day for a week. Finally, calling me back saying: "we can't help you. You need to find help, Don. We can't help you here. Please stop calling." CLICK. I asked again without getting an answer:
"Please just tell me where, in all your literature, wall postings or admission packet where it informs us of the rules NOT TO LEAVE THE PREMISES.
An assisted bath was offered to me earlier in the morning that Saturday, and since I hadn't bathed since the pneumonia hit me (Dec 22) and further delayed by the numbness in my legs (acute sciatic neuropathy) caused me to miss the top step on the staircase, tumbling head first I
I filed a grievance with Humana and HCP the first business day, Jan 29, following my expulsion Jan 27, 2018. I've written letters, filled out forms and boiler plate Health Assessments & Evaluations of medical performance to no avail. Requests for Arbitration have not been responded to by HCP, GENESIS, or Humana.
Now, THAT'S WHAT WE SETTLE FOR in signing such an agreement. Pushed and prodded when vulnerable upon first entering, this is the way the NEW GENERATION of caregivers handle things. I'm trying to find justice and hopefully walk again. The pneumonia is gone and the sprained shoulder is all but normal again. The back and legs are a source of vicious, constant pain.

Well, I found the crack in the system again. Not supposed to leave without permission. It's not written anywhere in any of their paperwork, and five or six staff members, three RNs and two front desk clerks didn't think to mention it to me either. Well, the black lady as we left did. But, I thought she was not even a staffer. Never saw her before this afternoon. NOW I'm on the sidewalk across the street in this fffffkg heat STILL too weak to stand.
