Overall
Keep looking, don't waste your money!

This motel seemed that it had a lot of long time extended stay residents; as in this is where they lived, and have lived there for quite some time. At times it seemed more like an apartment complex rather than a motel. Motel guests had dogs that were larger than the 20lb maximum. Motel guests also didn’t pick up after their dogs which took away from the lush green grass, and the nice rock ravine.

The reasons why we didn’t change rooms or motels, is that we were staying for a week, had too much stuff to move and it would have been a challenge to find a motel that accepted pets.

Bottom line, keep looking. You get what you pay for, and this place is a dive!!

Below is the list of problems that we encountered during our stay:

Check-in Sunday October 31, 2010

> Got to the room and the room keys were not programmed. Door would not open.

> Spider web upon walking into the room.

> Dead cockroach in bathroom that evening

> Batteries in TV remote not working

> Dead baby cockroach in bathroom

Monday November 1, 2010

> Maintenance came into room while we were not in the room to fix/repair TV channels

> Maintenance fixed the non-working fan between the rooms

Tuesday November 2, 2010

> Cooking frozen dinner in oven. Oven temp must be way off, as it burned/singed the frozen dinner. It was inedible.

> When the dinner was burning, only the smoke detector in the bedroom went off, and not the one in the living area.

> Internet wasn’t working in the morning. Front desk tried to help, but the steps the recommended didn’t work. Had to call maintenance twice to have someone come to the room to fix the internet.

> Called to have bug repellent sprayed around door & windows. Advised that they wouldn’t be able to do it until the morning.

Wednesday November 3, 2010

> Internet not working again. Called at 7:30 and advised that maintenance gets in around “8ish”. Called at 9:00am to have maintenance come and fix the internet & the TV remote in the bedroom.

> 10:25: 2 phone calls and 1 visit to the office later, still no visit or call from anyone. They finally show up at 10:30am.

> For the remainder of the week, the bugs kept coming in the room, but they were dead. So either they were already in the room, of they were crawling under the door.

The Jacuzzi was nice and hot, however the pool wasn’t very heated, but I guess heated is a relative term, right? I found cold the pool water useful for soaking my feet after being on them all day.

The gym was nice. Looks like new equipment and very up to date.

The “dog run” was nothing more than 4 fence panels by 2 fence panels on hard dirt and little rocks. When I asked the front desk people about the dog run, I was told to take them to empty dirt lot adjacent to the motel.
