The Michigan Department of Management and Budget offers a range of strategic planning, public information and budget development services. It has a staff of more than 800 employees and offers financing, auditing, state procurement, printing and mailing solutions. The department conducts financial and operational audits and the internal control reviews of its offices, programs and business processes. The Michigan Department of Management and Budget also provides accounts payable processing, business planning, management level reporting and performance measurement services. In addition, the department provides state agencies with commercial insurance. Its facilities administration section manages and maintains office buildings throughout the Michigan and provides parking and security services. The department is a part of the state of Michigan and conducts various retirement programs for state s public school employees, judges and police.
