        The food may be great, but the service sucked. Took over 25 min and yet we had to call the server over to take our order. If you have the time to wait, then this place is for you.

        My husband and I are on our first anniversary and we needed to find a new sushi place since we recently moved to Tacoma. The service is awesome, the sushi and entrees are amazing. I would whole heartedly recommend this place!

        We loved it!

        This is a great, authentic Japanese restaurant! We loved it! My mother is Japanese, and a wonderful cook, and I have been looking for a good, authentic Japanese restaurant for a long time (I live in Oly). Anyway, would highly recommend this place. Had the Salmon & Tempura - just about as good as mom's. Wonderful envirnonment, plus very clean (another trademark of authentic Japanese). The menu had a great variety, and the prices were very reasonble. Had wonderful green tea to start out with. Was a wonderful experience...

        Kyoto has consistently very good food. You also get a large variety of pickles. They are on the pricey side and I was a faithful customer for 7 years until I realized one day that I was tired of indifferent service even though I left large tips. Another friend quit going there for the same reason. If quality of service and attitude does not matter to you, and you are solely interested in great food, this is the place for you.
