went here around opening on a saturday..a bartender saidwe could go in...the bartender at tje bar was rude saying theu were not ready to serve we were like thats fine

We are very upset about the way a bouncer treated my husband and I and another couple. We were sitting having a private conversation at around 11pm at the bar when a young lady walked in with a little boy around 6 years old and sat down with him at the bar and ordered an alcoholic drink for herself and a pop for the child. We made a comment amongst ourselves about the child being at the bar at that hour and made another comment about how we could never feel comfortable about bringing our own children into a bar at that hour and drink around them. End of conversation amongst ourselves. (We never said it to her, out loud, never pointed at her, never even looked her way after we made the comment) 45 minutes later a bouncer came up to us while we were eating our food and told us very aggressively that if we did not stop causing problems of talking about people who bring their kids to the bar that he was gonna kick us out. We asked him to repeat what he said because we had completely forgotten that we had even talked amongst ourselves about this topic. To our surprise we wanted to know who even heard our conversation and 45 minutes after the fact. I am a preschool teacher, we have been married for 20 years, and have 3 children of our own and was shocked that this bouncer thought we were causing problems. I thought a bouncer's job was to prevent chaos, stop fights, control drunk's, and keep order in a bar, not to cause confusion and upset customer's. We were shocked to find out that a bartender told him of our conversation and obviously made it worse than it sounded. We were so upset after what we thought was a nice end to our day, to go out and hang out at what we thought was a fun sports bar and grill. Boy were we wrong! I even asked to speak to a manager and he got in our face again about causing problems. I didn't realize that a personal comment about how we feel about something would cause us to be kicked out of a bar. So to warn anyone at this bar, never talk about a drunk guy falling over, the desperate girl leaning on every guy, the loud mouth sports jock, or even the young mother who brings her young child into a bar to watch her drink sitting at the bar. It was so upsetting to know that a bouncer didn't have anything better to do than to arouse customer's about a topic we have every right to speak amongst ourselves about. We are still very upset and cannot even relate how we are still feeling. Lucy Fister
