Overall

After reading the one terrible review of this business, I feel it is important for me to reply in defense of the woman who does the makeup. I have known this person for 20 years. She is very professional. I directed a professional fire spinning troupe for four years, and she did all the performers' makeup. It was flawless. The makeup had to stay on their faces for hours in the hot sun (because we had so many performers, the makeup artist in question had to start at noon to have everyone ready by 9:00 pm).

No one broke out from the makeup that was used, and I can attest that it was not, and is not now, cheap, as I am the buyer for the base/foundation and bronzers.

That said, the makeup artist does have *some* "drug store" products in her arsenal (fancy eye shadows, glitters, not base or bronzers) for the women who want extras but don't have a lot of money to spend on the higher end products. So yeah, someone can look into her makeup case and see one or two products from NYC or Maybelline, but look further, and you will see that the main makeup (foundation, bronzers, eye shadows, eyeliners, etc.) is not sold in drug stores, Walmart, Target, and some not even sold in Ulta, Sephora, or other specialty stores. I have to purchase the base foundation online. It is the very foundation that is used for actors. It "floats" on top of the skin, covers evenly, and lasts (I swim in mine all day, and if I blot, don't rub, it does not come off, yet is easily removed with a facial cleanser and wash cloth, or the pre-moistened disposable cloths). It does not feel heavy, either. When I tell my friends I am wearing makeup, they can't believe it.

I'm sorry to hear that anyone had a negative experience at this spa, and I hope you will give these lovely and professional women the chance to prove that they are worthy of your business.

Very Nice!

Great! Nice Place, From The Heated Pool To The Hot Tub To The Hot Towel Treatment On The Heated massage table. Very relaxing.
I had the best massage I ever had. The place is a bit tricky to get to so call in advance to get access info. But once you get in it's all good.

I had an EXTREMELY difficult time booking an appointment. I left several messages on their phone and even sent an email. When I finally did get an appointment, it was a nightmare. I was a bridesmaid at a wedding and had scheduled an appt for hair & makeup. I told them I would need to be finished and out of there no later than 130. They were so disorganized. They only had 2 curling irons, a super skinny one and a super fat one. Not the kind I wanted for the curls I was going for. The lady had the audacity to ask me if I would just want to crimp my hair because they did have a hair crimper. I told her I was not going to an 80s themed wedding. I then found out it was her first day there. At 1:10 things were not going well with my hair and they hadn't even started my make up. I was told that they used all organic products on the face and it seemed to be very high end makeup. When she started pulling out all of the makeup and I saw the products she would be using were mostly very cheap drug store type makeup (maybeline, NYC--yes, the $1 brand available at Walmart) I just told them I was not going to have time to do my makeup. And quite frankly I really didn't. I left after 1:30 and my hair was not what I was wanting at all. In the end, the owner did not charge me for my hair, but I would not recommend this place at all to anybody getting ready for a wedding.
