In business since 1954, Alan’s Music Center is a full-line music store that provides complete music services from San Diego’s largest selection of print music and instructional literature. Alan’s Music Center offers a wide range of quality musical instruments and accessories. We also offer different options for acquiring instruments. In addition to all this private music lessons are available in our spacious studios from our qualified instructors.

We offer a variety of music lessons that includes: piano, guitar, bass, clarinet, flute, piccolo, trumpet, violin, viola, cello, trombone, saxophone, drums, and more. They are half an hour lessons, once a week, unless specified differently with the teacher. The lessons are held in our store, and all of our instructors set their own schedule and rates, that ranges from $40 to $80 per month. We are the local authorized dealer for many brands of band and orchestra instruments, including: Armstrong, Becker, Conn, Hermann Beyer, Gemeinhardt, Buffet, King, Selmer, Bach, Artley, Vic Firth, Ludwig, CB Percussion, and Musser. We also stock many different models of these brands, from entry level instruments for the beginning students to intermediate and advanced instruments for the intermediate-advanced students and professionals. W e are an authorized dealer for Gretsch, Sunlite, and Ludwig drums. We carry drum sets that range in price from $395 to $2150. For our little drummers, we have special drum sets starting at $149.95. To complete your drumming needs, we also show Sabian and Zildjian cymbals as separates and package sets.
