I have found that of all of the BBQ joints I have eaten in my life time, that Prissy Polly's has the best pulled pork and sides. I attended ECU and lived in Greenville, NC for 7 years. During that time period I got to enjoy the Eastern NC Style BBQ. I missed it for years until I heard that a BBQ joint in Kernersville, NC made it and ever since then, I will drive the 20 minutes to eat there instead of going to the local BBQ joints in W-S or GSO. I live in Winston-Salem and commute to work in Greensboro everyday. I also work at a hotel in Greensboro near the airport and it is just as close for someone to drive into Greensboro to eat at one of the local places as it is for them to jump on the highway and shoot to K'ville with a straight shot and not get lost for that GOOD 'OL EASTERN BBQ TASTE!!! P.S. Their fixings, (Baked Beans, & Brunswick Stew) are to die for.

Every time we go to North Carolina to visit our in-laws, we make it a point to stop at Prissy Polly's at least once (or twice)! We just love their delicious bbq pulled pork sandwiches. I'm not sure what the name of the sauces are, but I prefer the clear sauce and my family likes the red sauce. All the side dishes are delicious. There is always a trivia question of the day....get it right and you get a free dessert! The atmosphere was very casual - family style - with live entertainment (one of the times we were there). I would highly recommend Prissy Polly's, GREAT EATING!

Prissy Polly's has built a new building right behind what used to be the old establishment. The food is better than it every was and the new building just makes it that much more enjoyable! The bananna puddin' tops off a great experience...we're glad it's so close to home.

I can't wait to get back to North Carolina to return to Prissy Polly's. I'm from California so I'm no expert, but if this place is typical NC barbecue, they should export it all over the world! My friends from Greensboro liked it better when the food was served out of a parking lot, but I think the restaurant has plenty of character with the picnic tables and quick counter service.

This IS the best BBQ restaurant in Kernersville. I would rate it at least 8.5. They are expanding into a new building to enhance their table service as well as keep their catering services available. The Pork is great and the sides are wonderful. Pecan pie and super banana pudding are available.
Just a moment...
