        Established in 1978, Stress-Tek provides professional consulting services in the areas of transducer design and experimental stress analysis. The company has evolved to design and manufacture custom and high-volume weighing, force measurement and stress analysis solutions where accuracy and reliability are required. In 1984, Stress-Tek introduced the double shear beam load cell and the first two-wire digital electronic scale system for on-board applications. These were the first of various products that the company developed into its complete product line for the trucking industry known as Vulcan On-Board Scales. Stress-Tek is located in Kent, Wash.
