* Information and Referral: Providing information about disabilities or independent living related issues and referring individuals to other resources that offer additional services. * Skills Training: Increasing independence and control of an individual's life by teaching skills such as cooking, budgeting, and shopping. * Peer Support: Staff will work to match individuals with disabilities with others of like disabilities or interests to serve as support to each other. * Advocacy: Will provide organizations, people with disabilities, and the public with training to advocate for their own needs. * Education: We educate legislators on a local, state, and national level regarding issues confronting people with disabilities. * Transportation Service: For the elderly or disabled. Vehicles are equipped with wheelchair lifts. Transportation to the doctor, shopping, visiting family / friends, beauty shop, or anywhere you wish. * Consumer Directed Services: This program allow s the consumer to hire whomever they would like to work for them in their home. This person can be a family member. * In-Home Service: Includes homemaker chore, personal care, advanced personal care, nursing, and respite care. * Other Services: Equipment Loan Program, Home Modifications, Resource Library, Telecommunication, Community Awareness
