Don't. I have had ATT Internet/TV service for several years. I've been very patient but the last straw has struck. Although it's been said many times on many service calls, when selling and installing the service, they did not tell me that I am supposedly too far from their cable connection and would always have a "weak connection". That would have saved a lot of grief. When "fixed", it's never permanent and now 2 of my TVs don't work at all without another tech visit after one last week. The internet is supposed to be high speed but never has been. Of course, my bill is never cut for the days that I am not without service or for the poor quality!

No Service Provided Here

For this area I would NOT recommend it...as Service for this area as of Feb. 7, 2010 is NOT available. I am sorry to say. I probably would of went with AT&T as we had this company in California and it was super good.

Sad we can not get it in Marshfield, Missouri.

Overall
absolutely horrific customer service

AT&T will do anything to get you to sign up for their internet service, but nothing to help you get service should you have a problem.

I have taken off 2 days of work to meet their service technician "sometime" between 8 - 5. I have called periodically through both days to verifiy that they were still coming. "Absolutely we will have somebody out today."

Long story short, 2 days off work, no pay and still no internet repair service. "oops" is AT&T's answer. "We'll get you tomorrow for sure!" Guess what . . . don't hold your breath. Good luck trying to talk to a supervisor.

I am doing this review on my cell phone because guess why . . . no internet on my computer!

After this review, I will spend my time on my cell phone surfing the net for a new provider.

BEWARE AT&T blocks legit emails from overseas!

AT&T is great when it comes to selling new services. Once you've signed up however, God forbid you really need help. In my case, AT&T suddenly started blocking emails from overseas. These blocked emails did not go into the spam folder of my IP email account, but were returned to the senders without notification to me. According to the AT&T error messages to the sender, the overseas IP's were placed on a blacklist due to excessive spam. The same message directed the senders to check these blacklists for possible removal requests, but their IP's were not on the lists provided by AT&T. Interestingly, some of the emails did go through after any web links in the email had been disguised or removed. Good grief. As AT&T no longer offers email support to DSL customers, and the chat people were too low-level to understand the problem, I spent 4 hours working my way up the phone chain to the "second-tier" support person. He was not helpful, nor was he particularly willing to listen. Despite the fact that the error messages mentioned only AT&T, not Yahoo, and that sending abuse reports to AT&T, not Yahoo, did unblock emails temporarily for one day (http://helpme.att.net/legacy/abuseform), the second-tier person insisted the problem was Yahoo, not AT&T, and told me to stop using the IP email provided through AT&T and use hotmail instead (apparently AT&T is unaware Verizon pulled the same stunt a few years ago and got slapped with a sizeable class action lawsuit). Needless to say I will ditch my AT&T landline, pay $10 a month for a T-Mobile internet phone, and pick a new IP. One that won't block my emails without notification.
