Nutritional CounselingIn addition, the Vetcare pharmacy also carries a number of prescription and specialty foods for cats and dogs to start your pet on a specific dietary program or simply to supplement nutrition. Prescription pet foods from Hill’s and Science Diet products are counted among the options available. Therapeutic diets have many uses for dental wellness, weight management, and other applications to fit the unique needs of your pet.
Comprehensive ExaminationAdult pets need regular updates to make sure each vaccine and preventative treatment they receive stays effective. Vaccination updates will be given during your companion's annual physical exam and wellness check, as well as flea, tick and heartworm treatments with further veterinary diagnostics on hand if we detect anything out of the ordinary.
Dental CareVeterinary services here at Vetcare represent our dedication to keeping your pet covered in any medical situation. Whether your cat or dog just needs their regular check-up, dental cleaning, or professional treatment for a serious illness or injury, our veterinarians and staff will be prepared to provide your companion with exactly what they need.
VaccinationPet wellness care and vaccinations are a major part of what we do at Vetcare. Preventative medicine is something we emphasize for every dog and cat we see. Young or old, large or small, indoor or outdoor, it's always important to keep your pet protected by building strong immune systems and practicing healthy routines at home.
Lab and X-Rays
Laboratory ServicesVeterinary diagnostics, lab work and digital X-ray capabilities give us the power to find out just what's wrong when your pet is sick or hurt. Our own testing lab, in-house ultrasound, and blood work are all used regularly to evaluate our patients and find the best possible treatment plans.
Dental RadiologyOur veterinarians offer teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing for dogs and cats. We also use digital pet dental X-rays to evaluate your companion’s needs and develop an effective treatment plan.
Microchipping“Vetcare has been taking care of all my fur babies for over 20 years. I know I can trust all the staff and doctors to provide everything needed to keep my pets healthy and happy.”
Chronic Condition Treatment
Cancer TreatmentAlmost two years ago our miniature lop-eared angora bunny did the same thing. He couldn't get up. I took him to the vet and came home with syringes, needles, IV solution, antibiotics - my kitchen looked like a hospital. My husband became my assistant as we nursed, bathed and spoon fed bunny. Bunny got better but his head remained tilted and he can only hop in a clockwise direction, otherwise he falls over. When bunny had a relapse we didn't have much hope. We tried a chemotherapy drug - it worked but bunny stopped drinking. Back to spoon feeding, IV hydration.
Heart Disease TreatmentSeveral years ago my canine soul mate, Kito, escaped peacefully from his prison of congestive heart failure. It was late September, the same time of year I had brought him home as a tiny Sheltie furball 10 years earlier. I was devastated. I had no idea I could hurt so deeply and still be alive. That winter was a blur of bereavement. Just as I thought I was starting to feel better, the season of holidays arrived with its usual tempo of frenetic activity and enforced merriment. I was clearly out of step and decidedly depressed.
Wound and Fracture Care
Parasites Treatment and Control
Pain ManagementPet pain relief comes in a variety of forms, from medications and general anesthetic to analgesic laser therapy. We perform all pain management treatments in accordance with the latest protocols to keep your companion safe and out of pain.
Intestinal Foreign Object Removal
Veterinary SurgeryVeterinary surgery is available to dogs and cats of every type. Surgical intervention can be used to treat or prevent many serious conditions, should your animal companion ever experience them. We maintain high standards for quality pet surgery, working to keep your pet safe while treating them using the latest knowledge and procedures.
Laser SurgeryTherapeutic pet laser and laser surgery options are available to any patient. Noninvasive laser therapy has many applications, primarily in relieving pain and speeding healing in cats and dogs. In surgery, surgical cutting lasers may be used as an alternative to the traditional scalpel, making for a cleaner and less painful surgery for your pet.
Small Animal SurgeryDr. Kevin Reed attended Arkansas State University and graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. He received the Small Animal Surgery Award and the Veterinary Microbiology Award. He has adopted 3 furry children from Vetcare, including 2 dogs and a cat that doubles as an escape artist.
Spaying and NeuteringLooking to add a pet to your life? We can help. In cooperation with local animal shelters and other organizations, we are featuring pets who are looking for a warm and loving home. Whether you are looking for a young puppy or kitten, a mature dog or a friendly older cat, a purebred or a mixed breed, a local animal shelter is a great place to start. They can help you decide which pet is right for you, talk to you about how to fit your pet into your family, and most will assist in spaying and neutering.
