Target

I recently purchased a Toshiba 26 inch lcd tv with a built in dvd player. I usually shop at Walmart because of the prices but they do not carry Toshiba tvs so I went to Target. I spoke to the sales person and they were very nice and I got my tv and went home. When I got home and open the box I noticed that there was some stuff missing first thing I noticed was there was only styrofoam on one side usually its on both sides then I noticed that the instructions were missing and some of the screws for the stand was missing, and part of the plastic was off the tv so it was obvious someone had returned the tv before which didnt really bother me. All that I cared about was if the tv worked. So I turned the tv on and noticed a green line going across it. I immediately called Target and explained my situation. The first person I spoke to switched me to someone else then I explained my situation to that person in which they became irate with me and hung up the phone so I decided I would just go back to the store. I went back to the store and talked to the same person that sold me the tv they went and got a supervisor who look likes he just got out of highschool and I explained my situation to him. At first he looked dumbfounded and confused he then tried to explain the stores return policy which most of it didnt even pertain to me . I then asked to speak with the store manager in which he said that the store manager went home for the day he then asked if I wanted to speak to another supervisor I told him no and that I was going to wait and speak with the store manager. I called the next morning and spoke with the store manager she seemed polite at first then became rude she told me that I must have broke the tv because there was no way they had a broken tv on the self and that I wasnt able to return it. I finally had to threaten that I was going to call the Attorney General, the better business bureau, and the Target corporate office then after all of that she reluctantlly offered me a refund.I know better now never to shop there again.
