Jose's Mexican Restaurant

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jose's Mexican Restaurant in Jackson. It was across from our hotel so we decided to try them for dinner. The food was superb! I grew up in southern California with homemade Mexican food as the norm. The food at Jose's IS homemade and brought back wonderful memories. First, the waitress brought us a quesadilla, salsa, and carrot/pepper relish. The quesadilla had a crisp, flakey tortilla with lots of soft melted cheese on top. Dip that in the salsa, wonderful! My husband quickly ate up the carrot relish and said it was the best he'd ever had. My dinner was two beef tacos, cheese enchilada, beans and rice. Each item was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Everything tasted just like what I had grown up with and loved. My husband had the steak tips in a spicy gravy and said he would certainly order it again too. We have both had good Mexican food before, but Jose's sets a new high for our standards. If you even LIKE Mexican food, you will LOVE Jose's!
