My experience with Hearth and Home has been dreadful. The price they quoted to me over the phone was $100 for a stove inspection, and $85 for a cleaning. When they arrived to do the inspection, we were billed for $185+tax (total=$200), even though I had not scheduled a cleaning, just the inspection. When I called to ask about the charge, they explained it differently that it was $185 just to come to my house, no matter whether they did the cleaning or not. Tonee, the customer service person, has been incredibly rude to me and did not apologize for mis-quoting the price to me. They have not offered a price adjustment, or to do the cleaning that they're charging me for. The owner, Jay, actually did the service. He claims to have returned my calls, but I've never been left any voice messages from him, so how do I know? He will reply to emails, but don't expect a courteous, professional response; expect this company to defend their poor practices and expect you to pay up. I would not recommend this company.
