Overall

Walk-ins are NOT welcome. They may close at 9pm, but they do not take walk-in's after 6pm. I was told that they had patients waiting (one couple sitting in the waiting room) and they were just so busy. I was welcome to come back Saturday but they were booked solid and I could be waiting all day to see someone. I could come back as a walk-in, just not after 6pm and the woman at the desk was not very helpful other than to rudely point out I should not come in so late (just after 7pm.)

Overall

I thought I had already rated this company but I don't know if it didn't get posted or what. I visited the US31 Immediadent in May 2014 and it was my first visit and is my last!!!!! Absolutely horrible service!!!! My appointment time was 9:00 am and I arrived at 8:45am. I sat in the waiting room for at least 1-1 1/2 hrs. Then I was taken back an first had X-rays done which was fine. Then they took me to one room and examined me etc. then one lady walks in with the amount I would be expected to pay today for my services after insurance. She tells me $185. I thought "I have never paid that much with insurance!" So she tells me that they want to charge me $16 for a tube of toothpaste and they DID NOT EVEN ASK ME IF I WANTED THE TUBE OF TOOTHPASTE!!!!!!!! And so then they take the toothpaste off and walk back in and say the new charges will be about $165. And then they tell me they are also trying to charge me and my insurance for
$500 worth of "deep cleaning"---- also which they did not tell me or ask for my approval!!!! I told them to go ahead and do the deep cleaning though size I had never had that done. Later on when I had been taken to another room for the cleaning, I overheard the nurses discussing my cavities and they said they filled only TWO cavities, so I asked them "wait a minute you are trying to charge me for three?????" Then they told me that they are only going to fill two today!!!! Then why in the HECK are you trying to charge for three?????? They then said "Well we can go ahead and fill the third one." I said "No thank you!" I told them to take the third filling off my invoice because at this point I had already been in their office for FIVE hours!!!!!!! It was absolutely ridiculous!?!?!?? They took the third filling off my bill. And then they told me that I still need to return for the general tooth cleaning on a second visit!!!! I couldn't believe how long I had been there. By the time I finally walked out that day it was 2:00 pm!!!!! And I still had to come back which I did about two weeks later. This is NO WAY TO TREAT A FIRST TIME CLIENT!!!!!! I found a privately owned dentist company in my town of Shelbyville which my wife went to after my visit to Immediadent and my wife tells me that this dentist Mr. Jeff Canfield in Shelbyville is AWESOME!!!! So I have my first visit scheduled with him on Oct 28. I had read in other reviews that these dentist companies like Immediadent and Aspen Dental give horrible service mainly because the dentists that work there have their own practice elsewhere and basically when they don't have enough clients on their schedule at their practice, they go and work part time for companies like Immediadent and Aspen Dental to fill up their open slots in their time. And basically these corporate companies just don't give good service at all. AND I BELIEVE IT!!!!!! Also after talking on the phone with my new dentist, they tell me that a deep cleaning is suppose to take about 30 minutes minimum up to one hour per EACH 1/4 of your teeth. So a deep cleaning could take up to four hours total. Immediadent did all four sections of my teeth for the deep cleaning and they spent only 20-30 minutes total for ALL four sections.!!!!! Dr. Canfield (my new dentist) tells me that during a deep cleaning it is us lay a big mess with blood and cleaning paste etc. there was none of that when Immedident did my deep cleaning. They are such a ripoff!!!!!! I'm going to be submitting a fraud/claim with my insurance company to have those charges reversed so I can have an honest dentist do it the RIGHT WAY since a deep cleaning is only allowed with my insurance company once every two years I believe it is. Immediadent is soooooo dishonest and they try and rip you and your insurance company off every way they can!!!! Immediadent needs to hive me a serous REFUND especially for my deep cleaning since you did not even do it correctly!!!

Overall
worst visit EVER

Christina was terrible. i went on a saturday and waited 3 hours after my scheduled appointment time. i should've left then, but i waited and went ahead with the care and I WISH I NEVER HAD WENT THERE. Now i can't eat with out my the teeth i had worked on!!! it hurts when i chew and i get this horrible shock. she coughed on me, breathed really heavily in my face, slipped with the drill and chipped my tooth, and gave me the worst experience i've had in my life!!! i would rather have kept my cavities i walked in with, at least i could chew!

We are open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week so that we can meet the needs of a patient base that has an urgent dental need at an inopportune time, can only take time off from work or school with difficultly, or just finds our patient focused care and convenient locations right for them. We are sorry you had this experience… while wait times vary, we strive to communicate with our patients to give them options that use their time as effectively as possible and still enable them to see the dentist on the same day.
