Overall

I just got back from a horrible dinner at Janna Maria's. After we ordered I was excited to take a picture and check myself in Facebook, but once I got my jumbo scallops with side items of sliced potatoes and broccoli, it looked like it was just thrown onto the dish. It looked pitiful! I thought well maybe if will look better in a picture- it looked worse! I didn’t bother checking myself in and uploading the picture - I set the lack of “presentation” to the side and started eating my food. The potatoes were disgusting. Burnt and chewy with no taste and I didn’t even bother trying the broccoli, it was just a raw veggie they cut and placed on my dish…it wasn’t even steamed or seasoned! Again, I put that to the side and continued eating – the scallops were okay, but I was worried that they were still a little raw. I let it slide since it was the only thing I had left on my plate that seemed reasonable to eat.

As I continued eating, I noticed a piece of hair mixed with my potatoes!!! I stopped eating waiting for the server to approach us to ask us how our meal was so far, 10 minutes later she finally came by – I told her everything was fine with the exception of the hair. She said she could make another scallop dish, but I said it was fine I didn’t want to have to wait another 20 minutes for my meal and that I didn’t care for the potatoes anyways so I would just eat around the hair. She continued on and never mentioned it again, nor did the manager or owners come by to apologize or acknowledge this. Keep in mind, there was only another table seated and the owners were also present eating their own dinner 15 feet away.

When the check came I showed my server my Deal Chicken Voucher – she did not know how to apply the paid value of it since the promotion had expired so she called her manager. I spoke with the manager (owner’s daughter) and she told me it was only good for pizza – I had to explain to her that the promotion was only good for pizza and that in the small print – the expired section of the voucher - it indicated that the merchant “is to accept the amount paid toward purchase of regularly priced goods or services." After she re-read it she recognized it was a valid statement and told me she would be right back. She walked 15 feet behind me to the owner’s table and explained to them. She seemed to be on my side and was showing them the fine print.

After five minutes of going back and forth, the owner came to me and just stood there – did not apologize for the hair nor greet me or ask me how my dinner was going. I started explaining to her what the voucher’s fine print indicated and the owner then stated that I should have used my voucher within the promotion period. I advised her that there is a reason why there is fine print and directions for vouchers once they expire. She still continued to argue with me and told me that she would not accept the amount paid and that I had to dispute it with Deal Chicken. At one point she even asked if I had paid already – almost wanting to kick me out if I had. I was totally shocked!

Please don’t go to Janna Maria’s!!!! I dine all over the beaches within Brevard County, and this is not somewhere you want to go! We have had better pizza (check out Petrillo’s in Indialantic) and better Italian service! (check out Melo’s! in Indian Harbour Beach). I am not one to write/comment on these sites – so you know it’s bad when I take the time to do so!!! Please take my advice! It’s a little sad too because I had been telling all my friends about this new place called “Janna Maria’s” to check out – instead I will be telling them NOT TO check out Janna Maria’s! lol $90 later and not a happy camper! Not worth it- definitely not a “classy” Italian dinner!

I don't know this place is still open.

We made reservations in advance for a birthday dinner. They sat us in the middle of an aisle literally in front of the bathroom door. All of our food came out at different times. My veal parmesan came out like a soggy piece of country fried steak. Terrible service. Incredibly overpriced. This place is a joke. These positive reviews are completely off.

I have been here 6x since they have opened (they are still in their soft open) and the place is "AMAZING" - the person who wrote please don't go there is 'WRONG" my pizza was awesome, had plenty of tomatoes on it along with plenty of cheese. If there was something wrong, you should have called! They would've fixed the problem. The owners are very sweet women and will make sure that the any problem is fixed. My wife and I have sat at the bar and enjoyed the company of Christine, whom is the most personable bartender we know! She had us laughing for a couple of hours. We also had her as a server and even though she was extremely busy, she made sure that our night was a great one. We will keep going back time after time to enjoy the staff, owners and food!!

My family has been here 2 times in the last week! Very good bread! The creamy balsamic house salad dressing is WONDERFUL!! Last night we got the Eggplant - it was SO SO SO good! We really like this place, they just need to work on the quickness of the service...our drink order was delayed...but other than that, the food is 5 star!

Please don't go there. We ordered a takeout and everything was covered in garlic. My family is from italy and real Italian food very rarely has garlic in it. It is an American invention. The Margherita Piazza had sauce instead of tomatoes and so little cheese you could hardly taste it. The biggest sin was smothering it in garlic. Please refer to any legitimate recipe and none calls for garlic. We had to decontaminate the kitchen after the dinner which we only had a few bites of. The Penne alla Vodka should have been called Garlic with Penne. Stay away. Tonic was much better, but they are gone.Sorry.
