The Sky Ute Casino Resort opened its new doors in November 2008 and has been a southwestern favorite ever since! Located in the heart of the Southwest on the Southern Ute Indian Tribe in the “cool little town” of Ignacio CO, visitors to the region can experience the historic Durango and Silverton narrow-gauge railroad, Mesa Verde National Park, Durango Mountain Resort, Navajo Lake, and an incredible variety of outdoor recreational activities any time of year in the majestic San Juan Mountains. Where else can you go skiing during the day and enjoy a bike ride in 50 degree weather afterwards? Rafting, hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, camping (ask about our RV spaces with full hook-ups and access to hotel amenities!), four-wheeling, skiing, snowshoeing, sledding – it’s all here! We have 140 finely appointed guest rooms and six two rooms suites all appointed with traditional Southern Ute décor hand chosen by members of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe. Each room features top of the line furnishings, (including a spacious and elegant bathroom), and are appointed with a refrigerator, safe, coffee maker, microwave,  LCD flat screen television, voice over IP telephones, and free Wi-Fi internet service.  The hotel features an indoor swimming pool with a built in hot tub and lazy river. There is also a full fitness center, massage and beauty salon and of course ….. our massive gaming floor featuring 700 slot machines,  Poker Room, Blackjack tables, Craps, Roulette and  Bingo hall. The property is home to a 24 lane bowling alley with arcade, a coffee bistro for that morning jolt of espresso, the Aspen Room Restaurant, Shining Mountain Café, and Rolling Thunder Grill for your dining pleasure.  In the summer months come enjoy our outdoor 18hole mini-golf course and take a stroll over to the beautiful Southern Ute Cultural Center right next door!
