Route 47 Taxi Transportation Inc

Stay away from rt47 taxi! They claim they do not share taxis with other passengers, except they do and they don't tell you until you are in the car. Also they charge you the full airport transfer price AND the other passenger gets charged the full price. So tell me how this company is not ripping people off by charging me $81 and then the same for the other passenger. They were paid $160 for one airport transfer!!!!! That's not the worst part: this all happened at 1:30am when I had to be at work by 6am, I had to go on a nice detour in the middle of the night because the other passenger had to be dropped off first. The last thing ANYONE wants to do is go driving around in the middle of the night after a very long day of traveling. All I wanted to do was get home. So again here's the facts: 1) they absolutely DO shared rides. 2) they will still charge that shared ride as if there were two taxis that drive two separate people home. 3) they will change their rates randomly and the same airport transfer will be more the next time you use them. On their website it says their rates haven't changed since 2016 (look under the FAQ link for yourself. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also held off on making this review in hopes they would rectify the situation, but all they would do is take off 10%. What a joke. 10% for a huge inconvenience. So that's why i moved forward with my review.

I recently took a trip to the Chicago Area (Crystal Lake) from Houston to visit my brother and his family. We are retired and don't like to drive in an unknown city so we booked with this taxi business. I will never use this business again! The car stunk like urine. The driver had an attitude problem. He just threw my bags without regard for what may have been in it. Needless to say I left NO tip. Bad Service!

I've used Route 47 Taxi to get to and from O'Hare for two separate trips. Both times the drivers were on-time, courteous, and good drivers. The wait time for pick-up at O'Hare was very short. I will use them again on my next trip.

Driver was 45 min.late and the car smelled like marijuana. The driver seemed to be high or drunk. Unbelievable!!!! Who hires these guys?

Very bad service!! The driver drove like a maniac and was cursing out other drivers on the road. I was afraid for my life. And when I complained to dispatch they were rude.

Very bad unreliable service. Rude drivers, dirty cars and horrible management and dispatch. I will never use again.

RT 47 deserves 0 stars for their terrible service. First of all they were 30 mins late, then the taxi was extremely dirty and smelled horrible. The driver was talking on his cell phone the WHOLE time he drove like crazy. They were very unprofessional and I would not recommend RT 47 to anyone!

I live in huntly and Rt47 transported my child to and from school unti my son told me the driver was drinking alcohol. I reported it to dispatch and they were rude. And I came to find out that their drivers are not school certified. Very bad service!!!

Absolute worst service ever. I missed my flight and when I notified dispatch they were very rude.

Had a most wonderful experience with this company. Dan arrived right on time (5 minutes early to be exact). He was friendly, courteous and a great driver. I was nervous about traveling, and his conversation and friendliness took the edge off. This was the first time I had used this service, but will definitely not be the last

Its funny how Angel Castro posing as a cab company allstar cab 847 809 8405 has the balls to write nonsence on a reputable company if you realy want to see a drugy call angel and call our drivers that he mentioned and you will see who is talking crap.

Route 47 is a poor and unfortunately taxi service.. the owners are unworthly and drivers are worse... they have their son mike alejandro jr. who's a drug addict and (weeble wobble) ivan guzman, another drug addict driving for them. how comfortable and safe can u be with drivers like this driving u around town and or to the airports??? do u think u can be safe with drug addicts driving you? think about it... next time you want or need a taxi, think about, in who's hands are you putting your life on. (RT 47?) think about it.

In called for a cab and with rudeness of the dispatcher telling me thay do not handle carpentersville as a place of business . because they do not have a office there nor permits to operate in carpentersville. He did tell me it would be a half hour for service. The driver upon arrivel was rude and acted as if i had taken him away from something he would rather do..
