This dealer is giving Hyundai bad selling experience with their scams/rip-offs in "options". Save yourself the trouble and go to other dealer you can trust

Currently we love our Hyundai & the warranty. But, after this dealer bad experience, we may not buy another Hyundai, and just get other brand with an honest dealer that meets their "Transparency policy"

We went to them for the online price, we knew what car we wanted and in what color. It was sold

We waited 4.5hr until they found it, the salesman brought us the paperwork, one of the charges was “Options” for $1,295, we asked about that, he said they were options to be included in the car, we asked which ones

He checked and said these 8 options, we wrote them: Tint, Mudguards, Wheel Locks, Nitro, Medkit, BumperApp, FloorMats, CargoTray

We told him we didn’t want some, he said they could cut the price in half to $647 including all 8 options, we agreed

We asked the salesman for a copy of the paperwork we signed and he said "We cannot give you a copy, it's in our policy", you will get a copy in your files at the end (We never got it).

We left a deposit, next day we got called and inspected the car, of the 8 options paid, 5 were missing: Mudguards, Wheel Locks, Nitro, MedKit, BumperApp

We understand mistakes can happen, but is not that hard to check for 8 visual things. Seems they don’t pay attention to the options

We weren’t sure if the mudguards & the nitro were installed or not, we asked the salesman and he was going to ask, we never got a reply

We signed the final paperwork and paid. The person who assisted us through the payment was professional and straight forward, excellent service.

The car got out from their shop, we inspected it again and still 3 options missing: Mudguards, Nitro, MedKit. We insisted for the medkit until we got it, and because we weren’t sure of the mudguards & the nitro we decided to leave and check later

Then we confirmed the mudguards were missing. We got a call from the salesman to evaluate the service and told him about the missing mudguards, he said he would check and call back, but never did!

Sent an email to the salesman and he just replied:

“I just checked with my manager about the mud guards, and the mud guards were not apart of the negotiation they were on the black Kona that you were looking at”

Later confirmed they didn’t install nitro either. We sent another email to the salesman & the general manager with a picture of the options. Salesman didn't even bother to reply at all, and the general manager email got returned

We went to the dealer the next weekend to solve this two missing options (mudguards & nitro) in person.

The manager said “mudguards” were not included with our car. Then why the salesman said it was? We agreed, signed and paid based on that

We asked, what did we paid for "Options" then? They just showed us a recently made laminated paper that was never shown to us before

$1XX Tint
$3XX Installation (never got a clear explanation of this)
$150 Wheel Locks (Hyundai website priced it for around $50, $150 is a rip-off)
$XXX for Nitrogen
Total cost $700

The manager said this has an actual cost of $1,295, a total rip-off even at $700

I told the manager about the overcharge in the wheel locks and what Hyundai said the price should be, he just went to check and told the salesman to correct the laminated paper

We got scammed/ripped-off about the options & now overcharged for options we never signed on, at those rip-off prices!

In the end the manager did nothing to solve the last missing options, neither refund the overcharges

At that point we were mad of being scammed/ripped-off so we didn’t care anymore, we wanted to leave & never get back, so we told them to leave it, and the manager just stood up and left.

I am giving one star because I couldn't give Hyundai zero stars.

My husband and I have been quite disappointed with our experience at Hyundai. On March 23, 2015, my husband went to trade in his leased Audi and in turn he tried to lease a 2015 Genesis Hyundai. The car salesman, Jose Reyna, told him that they would pay off the remainder of his lease on the Audi. After about 2-3 weeks, we called Hyundai because they still hadn't paid off the lease and in the meantime we were getting two bills. Mamun Hussein, the finance manager, stated that it would be paid and to just be patient. We called about every two weeks and finance manager reassured us that it would be paid off soon.

On Memorial Day (2 months later) we went to the mailbox and there was a ticket in the mail stating that the Audi that was supposed to be traded in and paid off was parked in a handicapped spot and we owed the City of Houston $600. We immediately called Hyundai and the finance manager stated that he was paying it off right at the moment that we called him....hmmmm.....interesting that he'd be paying it off on Memorial Day on the exact date that we called. We went up to Hyundai that day and asked Mamun for the paperwork that it was paid off and he said that he had no paperwork to give us. He did say that he would make sure Hyundai paid off the ticket and get the paperwork to us as soon as possible. Well, I went to the mailbox on July 4th and there was a Final Notice ticket driving our car and then parking in a handicapped spot stating that they are going to report us to collections.

Once we received the paperwork, the wrong car was listed. Instead of saying that we leased a Genesis, it says that we leased a Sonata. This sounds like a scam and I don't know what the scam is but the employees at Hyundai apparently had a chance to "joyride" in our car at our expense. We actually lost money going to look for a car and ended up having to return it because it was never leased to us correctly. We leased again from Audi and all Mamun had to say was that Hyundai owned Audi as well.....what great customer service!!

Mamun stated that he was the manager (so the only person I could speak to) and Jose stated that they had no corporate office for me to call and complain to so I just decided to complain to the public regarding this incident. Go to another dealer to avoid these serious issues.

I sent an email to Ralph on Sunday evening about a particular car my son wanted to test drive. I requested the price and was told the car was listed for 17895. My husband, son and I went to the dealership the next day to check out the car. My son drove the car with Tony since Ralph was with another customer. After the test drive we sat down to discuss the price. Tony took quite a long time to come back with a price over 21,000, showed him where Ralph had quoted us a price (which is still on the website as of today). He said something about rebates and that you would have to be "superman" to qualify for all the rebates. I got up and left, I felt that they were dishonest and deceptive in their business practices.
