Beware! FSD is one of the worst companies I have ever worked with.

We bought a house in 2017 and contracted FSD to do the renovation work, a job that was scoped out around $70k. We picked them because their reviews on google were very good and indeed, initially, working with FSD was great. They helped us design the layout, pick out materials, and gave really great suggestions for the job. However, the nightmare started once the job was handed to their foreman and the work began. The entire job was plagued by poor quality work, damage to my house, and incredible delays. The job was estimated to take 4-6 weeks but that stretched into 5 months simply because contractors would never show up. In addition, most of the work was pretty sub-par. I walked through the house with one of the managers near the end and even he was surprised that the foreman had allowed such low quality of work to pass. However, even though he acknowledged that it needed to be fixed, he hasn’t done anything! I’ve been incredibly frustrated by the lack of response from them throughout the whole project. Whenever I would express concern over an issue I was assured that it would get taken care of during the ‘punch list’ at the end. Well, guess what - I couldn’t ever get them out to complete the punch list. I have had to complete much of the work and clean up myself. They told me I should have be doing the work myself (I agree!) and they assured me that one of their ‘best guys’ would be out to take care of everything to make sure we are satisfied. However, after several months of not getting a response from them I now realize that they’ve been paid and I’m never going to be able to get them out here.

Do not do business with FSD!!!

They were more interested in helping me out and providing good advice than in getting the job. I think this speaks volumes about the company. Someone that is actually more concerned about doing the right thing than making a quick sale is very refreshing these days.
