I had a severely deviated septum to which Dr. Olsen corrected and I can now breath very well from both nostrils. However, this was at the expense of the aesthetic appearance. In the initial consultation and during the preop visit I expressed I did not want the appearance of my nose to change. After the surgery I noticed a difference to which I expressed my concern to her during the post op visit and trusted her expertise when she explained my nose was still swollen it would return to normal. Least to say, my nose now has a grayish dent on the bridge, the tip of the nose is longer on one side than the other and the appearance is bigger. I am not at all satisfied with my nose appearance as a result of fixing my deviated septum. There is no excuse to having a grayish dent, one side of the tip longer than the other, nor for it to appear bigger.
