Dr. Laurie Steelsmith is a licensed naturopathic physician and acupuncturist, and author of the Hawaii best-selling book Natural Choices for Women’s Health (published by Three Rivers/Random House). Widely respected for her views on natural medicine, she has appeared on CNN’s “HealthWatch,” Fox and NBC news affiliates, and has been interviewed on more than 50 national radio programs. She is frequently quoted in popular magazines including Woman’s World, Self, Woman's Day, Natural Health, Women's Health, Whole Life Times, Body + Soul, Let’s Live, Better Nutrition, Vegetarian Times, Alternative Medicine, WebMD, Health, First for Women, OnFitness, and Delicious Living. For the past nine years Dr. Steelsmith has written a monthly column for The Honolulu Advertiser, and she is a regular contributor to Australia’s Nature & Health magazine.
