General Info

Dr. Moria Amjadi was born in Chicago. Her family moved to Honolulu when she was two years old. She earned a B.A. in Zoological Sciences at the University of Hawaii. She earned her dental degree at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Amjadi completed a three-year graduate program in Fixed, Removable and Implant Prosthodontics at the University of Pittsburgh and a one-year hospital-based post-graduate fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthetics before she returned to Honolulu in 1998 to begin private practice. Although Dr. Amjadi has extensive training and experience treating complex bite problems and TMD symptoms she gladly provides routine preventive and restorative care for many patients with ordinary dental problems. Dr. Amjadi emphasizes a compassionate approach to comprehensive dental care for every patient. Dr. Amjadi supplements her specialty training with regular continuing education courses on various topics that include: temporomandibular disorders (TMD), cosmetic restorations and the latest in dental implants, including the Nobel Biocare All-on-Four concept and immediate dental implants. Growing up and living on Oahu has given Dr. Amjadi a special love for Hawaii and its people. She spends a great deal of her personal time outdoors with her family, especially her young son, Ronan. They spend time exploring the outdoors, playing at the beach and bodysurfing. Dr. Amjadi also enjoys traveling, reading, sculpting, drawing, painting, gardening and caring for her dogs Kofi and Oscar and cats Cleo and Suki. Dr. Amjadi is an active member of St. Clements Episcopal Church, The American Dental Association, the Hawaii Dental Association and the Honolulu County Dental Society.

Dr. Gary Morikawa was born and raised in Honolulu. He graduated from the University of Hawaii with a B.S. in Biology. Dr. Morikawa earned his dental degree at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry. He joined his father's dental practice in the Ala Moana Building in 1988. Dr. Morikawa is passionate about dentistry. He considers it his vocation and his hobby. As such, Dr. Morikawa attends at least one continuing dental education course every month. Dr. Morikawa's mission is to preserve and restore happy, healthy and beautiful smiles. The optimum health and well being of every patient is his professional goal. Dr. Morikawa carefully listens to patients so he can clearly understand each person's individual needs and desires. Then he develops a plan for the patient's comprehensive dental care and explains each step in the process. Dr. Morikawa offers diagnostic services and treatments in all areas of dentistry including cosmetic fillings, crowns, bridges and veneers, as well as crowns and bridges on dental implants. Dr. Morikawa is a member of the American Dental Association, Hawaii Dental Association, Honolulu County Dental Society, and the prestigious Academy of General Dentistry. Gary and Dawn have a daughter attending Punahou School.
