National Car Rental

I rent from National about 8 times a year. No problems with the people, they are awesome, I just don't understand as an Emerald club member I cant just walk to my car and leave. All other National rentals do this. This National rental has the staff writing a thesis before I get my car. The cars always seem to be brand new at this place, And again, the people are super friendly!

Rental car was fine but the problem came when I realized I had left my sweatshirt and rain shell in the backseat of the vehicle. I called the number for the HON office, but could not get through, so I ended up speaking with one of the agents at the central office, to let them know about the left-behind items. This was about an hour after I returned the car.

I never received the email (still haven't) letting me know that the lost and found items were to be put in their database, so I called and finally got through to someone at the HON office. They told me that no items were turned into their lost and found desk by their employees.

Obviously it was my responsibility to make sure I had all items, but on the other hand one would like to believe that the employees at National would turn in items, rather than keep them for themselves.

I rent from National in Honolulu several times a month. The service has always been excellent and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. And I've never had a problem with any of the cars

I am a long time National member. I travel 30 weeks a year, I only rent from National. This was a different experience. I am an Executive Elite and was offered a Nissan Rogue. I eventually settled for a Chevy w/3rd row seating. We had 5 adults and luggage. I ended up having to bring that back due to a leaky tire and was only offered a Dodge suv/crossover, not a full size car and not a luxury. I was not happy.

Friendly, prompt, no-hassles service. Highly recommended. I reserved online late the night before and had no problems in the morning when I arrived to pick up the vehicle. Fair prices as well.

My sign in was handled in an efficient and very pleasant manner. During the week I had trouble with a slow leak of air from my left rear tire. I returned to the rental office, and the staff member was pleasant, and exchanged my car with no questions asked, allowing me to have a worry free vacation.

The price and service was good. I would have liked to keep the car and extra day for the same price as the first few days or even a little more, but I would have had to pay quadruple the price at $190 a day when I only needed the car because I needed to take a later flight than expected. I ended up needing to return the car and renting from someplace else for $35 a day for a better car. It was an unnecessary inconvenience.

The people were excellent to deal with and the facility is right at the airport, which is rare these days for car rentals. And we love the Emerald Isle, which in this case allowed us to get a mid size SUV for the same price as a mid size car. That made it awesome, because our luggage would have never fit into a mid size car. The car was clean and comfortable too.

I have rented from them 5 times now - and every time has been flawless. Staff has been courteous and friendly - always had a bottle of cold water ready and offered suggestions for vehicles based on my needs. I would highly recommend them!

Hassle free - attendants extremely friendly. Vehicles are clean and well maintained. My favorite car rental on the islands.

National continues to impress me with their hassle free system of car pick up and drop off. Signing up for Emerald Club was the best thing I could have done. How do they keep all their reps so happy?

All I can say is National has provided me awesome service...true professionals that make their customers feel like they are their only customer. Outstanding technology...fantastic online web site and a mobile app that is actually useful and personalized to the user. Bottle of water...fantastic touch of class...love it. National deserves 5 stars in my books. Keep doing a bang up job!
