        Founded in 1927, Honolulu Academy of Arts is one of the Hawaii's largest private presenters of visual arts programs. Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, the academy's permanent collection includes more than 20,000 works of Asian art with galleries dedicated to Japan, China, Korea, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Indonesia and the Philippines. In addition to film and concert programs, it conducts lectures, art classes and workshops. The Honolulu Academy of Arts holds accreditation from the American Association of Museums (AAM).
