Hiring John was the best decision I made to completely overhaul a very challenging paint job in our Waikiki condo. Every wall had been damaged with screws and nails from a past tenant. The ceiling was completely stained and dirty from a long time smoker, in short it was a very tough job. John was meticulous in his prep work, he insisted that every square inch of the unit was properly covered and taped down to protect the carpeting, every window was sealed with plastic sheeting to preserve the glass. John worked quickly, efficiently and methodically. The difference he made in a short of amount of time was remarkable. I will absolutely use his services again. He is very knowledgeable in his field, and a super friendly approachable guy. He checked in with me every day to give me an update. He does get busy and booked up, which is really a positive, as to how good he is, so book ahead and be patient, he is definitely worth the wait.

Ryan was great! Not only did he come and rescue me last minute twice in need he did a thorough and excellent job. He did my plumbing, installed an air conditioner and more and he was clean, trustworthy, and all round good guy. The work was professional, and he was hard working. I would recommend him to everyone! A completely positive experience with a contractor, which I have found to be very rare in Honolulu. John was very punctual in returning my inquiry, getting back to me the same night for my initial response and again after I provided photos for an estimate. He fit me in on a Sunday despite having another big job going on. John is friendly, professional, and very meticulous. He prepped the tub and then asked me if that was the way I wanted it; when I said it needed to be a little more angled, he said no problem. The tub fits in the space very unevenly, so it wasn't the easiest caulking job in the world. The end result was awesome, just what I wanted. John uses only the highest quality materials, and left me the remaining caulk, along with the receipt. He even gave me some great help with another home project I was working on. No wonder John is so busy: he's responsive, professional, and does great work. I would definitely have John come back and do more work on my home.

We contacted Johns Waikiki Handy Man Service about our dryer vent. We needed a new one installed and he was one of few who would do it for us. He was very prompt, had a great attitude and all the right tools.



He was also very flexible with our schedule. He came the day after we called and inspected the area.



Within a few days when we were ready we had him come out to do the job. He left it better than it was before.

I can't help but say good things about John at ABC Handyman. He has helped me several times to fix things around my home. The latest being a difficult toilet situation. He was very patient and diligent in his approach to fix it and it worked out great. He is very good at many things and has a great attitude as well..I highly recommend ABC Handyman..

We hired John to install four deadbolts at our new rental house. He replied back very promptly to our request for his quote -- the very next to be exact -- and cane to install deadbolts few days later to accomidate our schedule. John worked quickly and diligently and installed all four deadbolts even though two doors were quite difficult to install dradbolts due to slight warping and center-sliding window frame. Overall great job and we won't hesistate to contact John when we need to do other small projects/ repairs!

I called on John to help put up a drywall partition to separate two bedrooms. It was not a simple project because it required the wall to be slightly "L" shaped and was to be built on a wood laminate floor. John devised a plan and I decided to go ahead with it. My wife and I are very happy with the completed job; it exceeded our expectations. John is meticulous in his work and takes pride in making sure that the customer is satisfied. I've been looking for a handyman since late February till now and finally found someone I can trust. I'm really fortunate that I found John. I wanted to take out my shower doors and replace them with shower curtains and John said he could do it today. Wasn't expecting that, what a surprise. Hired John to do what I thought was an easy & quick installation but turned into a messy and complicated hookup courtesy of my last contractors who not only hooked up improperly but also made it dangerous. Needless to say, John was able to correct the problem on the spot and installed the dishwasher quickly and safely. He also installed a top trim ans fixed my sliding shoji door. We found out about John via Yelp. We have sliding glass doors and he was able to come take a look at it a day after we had called him. Let me tell you, if you have sliding glass doors and you need them repaired, it will cost you an arm and a leg. Just as advertised John can fix it for less! Indeed he did. One company told me that for them to look at what they needed to be fixed was $200 on the spot!



John did great fixing our door. Not only did he fix the issues, he also showed me what was wrong and what caused the problems. He also cleaned out the tracks for us. After doing some repair work, he went and found the parts and fixed it the same day.



John’s ingenuity, workmanship and friendly personality is what made his service the best. He didn’t throw off the vibe that he’s trying to sucker money out of us, but to really help us fix our door.

I hired John to hang, mud and paint the drywall for my partition gallery wall. From the start he was a pleasure to work with. He gets the job done with quality and efficiency. A+

John came over to my apt and helped me change out very rusted wheels in my very heavy floor to ceiling sliding glass doors of my enclosed lanai. It was a much bigger job that it looked and required modifying the steel replacement parts i had purchased to make them fit right and cutting out the old wheels that were rusted in place. John had all the tools we needed and we got the job done. Lanai doors now slide great and we couldn't be more happy. John has a great attitude and works very hard. Good rate and worth every penny. I would definitely recommend John to anyone needing help with repairs big or small.

We needed a portion of our bamboo flooring replaced. This required tedious and detailed work, but the floor came out beautiful. Love it! Thank you very much John!

Was able to relocate dryer vent so that our dryer now sits flush against the wall and the closet doors can close. We had additional questions and another small project and he was able to help us, no problem. Great job!

Had a chewed up door frame from an eager young puppy and needed a quick fix....John was very helpful and spent the day making sure it was done right, the job came out great. As a bonus I was having trouble getting my closet back on the track and john helped me when it wasn't even part of his job I requested. My security deposit is now safe, great job!!!

I had John come over to put in over 100 vent covers along my roof line. Most of the job entailed heights of over 20 feet as well as a few tricky places but John was able to get it all done quickly, efficiently and at a reasonable price. This was my first time using John but plan to use him again for some other jobs. BTW- John was recommended to me by a friend, who also spoke highly of his work.
