Founded in 1945, Pike Electric Corporation is one of the largest electrical contractors in the Eastern United States. The company operates more than 1,000 line and bucket trucks and serves a broad range of customers with overhead distribution throughout a 13-state area. Pike Electric also specializes in transmission construction and maintenance of voltages up to and including 230 KV, predominately single-pole structures and H-frame, utilizing wood, concrete or steel poles. Pike Electric performs barehanded maintenance work for voltages up to 500 KV. The company has also developed expertise to install fiber-optic cable, both underground and overhead. It has constructed overhead and underground distribution lines and substations for utilities, electric cooperatives and municipalities. Pike Electrical Corporation is an employer of nearly 6,500 people and maintains in excess of 10,500 pieces of equipment deployed throughout the U.S., including Hillsboro, Texas.
