I went to this YMCA to register my children for after school care because they were recommended by the school. It took 45 minutes to get registered even though I came with all information filled out. Employees all around held personal conversations with each other while helping patrons. Employees also scattered around looking for things and asking each other for help as if no one had been completely trained. The lady who helped me was very nice and pointed out several things listed on the registration sheet and confirmed a few things also. She never pointed out or confirmed the realized/understood that once she swiped my card I could not change my mind and get a refund even a second later. After receiving the tour of the facilities and getting the logistics of how the program worked, my husband and I decided the program would not fit our children's needs. Not even 24 hours later I could not get a refund even though the program had not yet started and I had not yet received anything for my money. The manager told me the reason the fees were non refundable was a way to keep people accountable and obligated to stay even if they did not feel the program was right for them. I am very disappointing in this location. I feel they are unorganized, unprofessional, and unethical. I have a home YMCA that I am very happy with and I will never return to this YMCA again. I caution anyone who does! This is a really bad representation of what this organization is supposed to be about.
