        I would certainly NOT recommend this place to anyone. The staff lacks of professional knowledge and is unwilling to help.



        I went to Catawba Valley Family Medicine for my annual preventive exam that is 100% covered by my insurance, BCBS. I had ONE SINGLE REQUEST - only do the tests covered by the preventive care portion of my insurance. They either did not understand, or worse – did not care. During my visit, I made sure everyone I had contact with was aware of this request. Yesterday, I received a bill with multiple lab tests that aren’t covered under preventive care, which means I have to pay out of pocket.



        The lady at the check out counter, who works with insurance every day, refused to go through the procedure codes with me. The Affordable Care Act lays out easy-to-follow requirements for what is covered under Preventive Care for every insurance policy, and these medical workers should know it better than anyone. I am young, I eat clean, workout regularly, do not consume alcohol or smoke. I have no symptoms of any illness. The fact that the doctor purposely ordered more tests than necessary makes me hesitant to trust them in the future. I will not be going back.
