I called the same day it was delivered on labor day this yr '12. I haven't heard how this was handled after my call to the store, but I would like some answers. It was delivered to my moms place. I paid by check. They didn't tell her she needed my picture ID. They came an hr early (not always a bad thing). I was in the shower at my place. The bed frame they were delivering was 10.00. Please keep in mind I was in the shower. Stuff was in my hair on my face etc. I was having my mid month spa shower. I only answer the phone for my mom due to her health. I answered the phone and she told me they were there and wont leave the frame in less I come and show a piece of ID. I asked if they just want my numbers I can give it over the phone cause I was in the shower. He wouldn't take that. I was highly pissed off. He wouldn't work with my mom or me in anyway. He said he could come back in 20 min. Or he can't leave it. For a 10.00 check and a bed frame. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? I quickly rinse and go over. And no, you can't imagine what I was thinking or how angry I was or still am about this. This was a HUG inconvenience HUGE. And yes, all he needed was the numbers, the other stuff was on the check. I have bought things from here before. I called the store and talked to Jeff? I think. Anyways, he was just making it worse and making me more upset by him asking me what I want him to do about it. I know what certain stores/restaurants can do about things. You shouldn't ask the customer what they want you to do about it. You should be proactive about taking care of your customers and already know what you can and can't do. ask for suggestions after you offer your ideas. By saying that you are coming at them like you don't care or it's not a big deal when it is. you run a service, if it wasn't for customers you wouldn't be in business and there aren't people buying beds everyday. Esp. when you have bed places on every corner. I don't know what a bed store can do. All I know is how he could have handled that better on the phone with me. Then he said that he was just letting me vent, I didn't need him to let me vent, I needed him to tell me what he can do and to resolve the situation. Also what wont happen in the future. He wasn't solving anything, nor he didn't act like it was that big of deal.. The only thing he said was well he should have called me to let me know and we could have worked it out. Ok, well, he didn't so now what are you going to do to make me happy with the situation, well not going to be happy but, satisfied that my concern and being pissed off is being heard and be taking serious. My 1st experience was great. That is why we went back. Wont happen a 3rd time. My mom has some health issues so she couldn't go in and I would have if I would have known stuff before hand. What If I lived out of state or city?? This was an Urgent thing. Her frame broke unexpectedly.
