Hanover's Backwoods Bar-Grill

Every time I go in this place there's always some sort of fight or the owners are completely intoxicated! Tabs are over charge drinks are shortly made...have really good food for a bar but I will not be going back unless I feel the need to see some drunken drama..

My fiancé and I come into this bar all the time and have always enjoyed ourselves here due to the wonderful atmosphere and good service. How ever tonight Wednesday May 22rd 2013, we came in and at first I wasn't going to have a drink but My fiancé said I should have one and ordered one for me. I had just taken a sip when the server (a new girl with dark hair heavier set, glasses) came over and snatched my drink telling me that quote "if you were going to do that you should've gone some where else" implying I was under age and trying to sneak alcohol. I was slightly confused explained to her that wasn't the case and that I'm a regular here and I would go and get my ID which without thinking I left at home. She was very rude and told

Me i could pay for it then, I again explained that I lived a minute away and would be back as my fiancé was staying. So I went home and of course was only able to find an old license which I brought back to her and she said she couldn't serve me due to its expiration and I had to pay up. I was finally able to find my actual ID which i showed her but at this point had no interest in staying but wanted her to be clear that i indeed had a valid ID and hadn't intentionally done anything wrong. I understand her situation and how she had to ID once she realized i was drinking however she was extremely rude and my fiancé reminded her that she hasn't carded him when he asked for a drink and we re pretty much the same age. She shrugged what he said off and was rude the remainder of our stay. I almost don't want to come back here however besides her like I said I enjoy this place. But I never want to be served from her again and was almost lost as a customer due to her rudeness. I know this does not reflect on the owners as I know them and have always had excellent service from them. However a class in customer service would be well deserved for this particular server.
