Royal Kabob

Excellent food. Not only delicious, but healthy with fresh ingredients. When ever I eat Mediterranean Royal Kabob is the standard of comparison.

FIRST OF ALL LET ME TELL YOU, THE FOOD IS COOKED IN THE VIEW OF THE CUSTOMER, AND THE RESTAURANT IS SUPER CLEAN. YOU CAN TELL THIS IS NO MICKEY MOUSE RESTAURANT, THE FOOD IS OF "THE GREATEST QUALITY* IT IS TOO TASTY FOR JUST ONE REVIEW, IF IT WERE UP TO ME I WOULD BE COMING BACK WITH A DIFFERENT REVIEW FOR EVERY TIME I WENT THERE. I AM A MARKETER FOR A LARGE HOME CARE COMPANY AND WE CATER FOOD TO DOCTORS OFFICES AND I WOULDN'T GO TO ANY OTHER RESTAURANT BUT THIS!!!

First of all, in Hamtramck, most restaurants are just mom and pop places. Sure, you have the polish restaurants. They are very good, I'll give them that. But if you want absolutely superb, then go to Royal Kabob. I was amazed when I entered into it. It was like being in Royal Oak. The decor is clean and pleasing...very modern. The waiters actually look like waiters and are very pleasant and informative. The menu is extensive with respect to middle eastern food. They just about have it all. Well, I ordered the lamb schwarma and my daughter and her friend ordered the quail. First they bring out fresh pita, not the kind of stuff you get in the store, all flat. It was freshly baked and delicious. With that they bring you a small plate of hommous and garlic sauce. To die for. So fresh. Then they brought our salads. You can get either tabbouleh or fattoush (basic salad). Both are massive and wonderful. They brought out our dinners. All I can say is we were in heaven. Really loved the whole thing. The only thing is that you get a lot of food. I have enough for lunch and dinner today. One dinner is perfect for 2 people. My daughter and her friend shared the quail and she said it was like eating in a gourmet restaurant. The prices are a little expensive for Hamtramck but if 1 meal can feed 2, then that takes care of that right there.



Right next door is an italian gelato creamery. You can get there through the restaurant. Also fantastic.



Lastly, the manager went to each table to see if the food and service were up to par. Everyone was polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves arabic cuisine. Penny
