Overall

My teeth hurt after I went to this lady. Been almost a year and they still hurt. Didnt hurt before I went in.

My visit to Gentle Dental was not so gentle. It was my first visit there and it will be my last. I went in for a checkup. Everyone was super nice. I sat down for my checkup and it went good. The official dentist came in afterwards to discuss everything and have a look herself. First of all, she was very unprofessional. She basically told me my job was uninteresting and that I should look for a new one (she was trying to make conversation while she had my mouth wide open. I hate when they do that. Its like a running dentist joke).

Anyways, on the the major stuff. So she tells me I have 4 cavities, 2 on right, 2 on left. I hadn't been to the dentist all through college so even though I had absolutely no pain, I didn't doubt this. I had to reschedule and come back to have the filled. So I scheduled a few days later near the end of the day so I could leave work early and not have to use personal days.

I show up for my appointment 10 min early and sit there past my scheduled time. I sit there for about 45 min and she comes out and tells me she can't work on my teeth because it is too late and she needs to pick her child up from school or something. I give her this look like I'm pissed. I mean, I left work early to come in. I was on time and you want me to waste more of my time. She says ok, fine. Boy I should have just come back. She flew through that cavity and messed something up. My tooth wasnt hurting at all when I went in, but a year later (today) it still hurts when I chew anything even sandwiches.

I call a few days later and tell her my teeth are hurting. She tells me to wait, it will go away. It doesn't. I call a week after that and tell her it still hurts. She schedules me to come in. I go in and she is making all kinds of excuses. "everyones teeth are different, your teeth are like a honeycomb, blah blah blah" She tells me she wants to take an x-ray. Knowing that I just read my health benefits because I am informed like that, I know that they wont pay for another x-ray within a year. I tell her that. She says, dont worry, we wont charge you. I end up getting a bill for it. After calling her to complain she agrees to pay it, but I mean this lady is really bothering me at this point.

Back to my hurting teeth. She tells me they sell something called m-i paste. She wants me to buy this paste and put it on my teeth for the rest of my life. And guess what, she sells it for only $25.

She is a scam artist. I should have done my research before messing with something so important as my teeth. They still hurt a year after this and I am sure they will hurt until I get a full root canal in these teeth now.

Oh, one more thing. The first day I came in she saw my wisdom teeth were in. She told me I should have them removed and she would refer me to someone that could do that. The next time I came in for my cavities, she told me she would be doing them. I told her stay the F--- away from my wisdom teeth. She was adamant that she could do it and that I should set an appointment. Even though I have had them in for 10 years, she thinks 2 weeks is the end of the world for some reason. I am fairly certain I never had cavities to begin with. This lady is trying to pay her bills by making false procedures. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Overall
Because my insurance changed, ...

Because my insurance changed, I just switched to Gentle Dental Care (they take most all types of insurance) and was THRILLED with their personal care and service. The main dentist is a lady which I loved as she was very personable and has a great rapport with their staff. I was in almost immediately and they did a fabulous job on my teeth and didn't try to "sell" me on teeth whiteners or other services I didn't need. Every patient is treated importantly and they truly are gentle with your teeth. I give them a top rating!
