BracesInvisalign invisible braces in our Greenwood office is one of the most asked about cosmetic procedures. Our patients love the idea of gaining a more attractive smile without the use of metal brackets and wires. With Invisalign, straightening your teeth is a far easier and more comfortable process; one in which people will scarcely notice your dental appliance at all!
OrthodonticsDrs. Harty and Wilson, DDS are both focused on helping families with their dental care. Whether a patient is in need of general dentistry work such as regular professional cleanings and fillings, or cosmetic treatments such as Invisalign orthodontics or teeth whitening, this team is ready to assist! From dentures to porcelain veneers, this dental team of professionals improves smiles-and lives!
Invisalign OrthodonticsOne question we hear from patients is whether or not a retainer should be worn after they complete treatment. A retainer is a dental appliance that is designed to hold your teeth where they are at a given point in time. You could liken it to the tray worn during Invisalign treatment, actually. After you’ve accomplished your goal for a straight and attractive smile, you want to maintain it, and a retainer is just the way to go. This device will keep your teeth from shifting. There are two types of dental retainers – fixed and removable.
Dental ImplantsDental implants are the preferred method to permanently replace a lost or missing tooth. Douglas Harty DDS PC and Dr. Sherri Wilson have been performing dental implants for nearly 20 years at the Greenwood, Indiana practice. With that level of skill and experience, you can be assured that your restoration will look and function just like a natural tooth, and will last a lifetime with good home care.
BridgesRestorations are important for addressing past trauma or problems associated with a patient’s smile. Drs. Harty and Wilson, DDS are dentists in Greenwood that use bridges and crowns to cosmetically restore teeth.
Dental BondingFill in space when gums recede When dental bonding is used for cosmetic purposes, the procedure typically takes an hour or less to complete, and requires no anesthesia unless tooth decay is being repaired. During this convenient visit, Dr. Harty or Dr. Wilson will use a shade guide to help the patient select the most suitable color of white to match natural teeth and facial features. The tooth or teeth being treated with dental bonding are prepared through a gentle roughing of the surface. A conditioning liquid is then applied to the surface of the tooth or teeth. Through this preparation, the bonding material will most effectively adhere to the area.
VeneersVeneers are thin layers of porcelain, bonded to outer surface of teeth that show the most, for dramatic improvement in appearance.
CrownsWhen restorations are needed for a tooth that has been damaged by injury or decay, we do our best to work from the most conservative standpoint. In some cases, a filling cannot sufficiently restore function to a damaged tooth. In such instances, a dental crown may be the most suitable form of treatment. Before you choose the type of crown to be used in your restoration, it may help to know the common crown materials and why they are appropriate.
Root Canal Treatment
DenturesDenture technology has been around for a long time – since about 700BC! Today they are removable, prosthetic plates with artificial teeth. Full dentures replace all teeth; partial plates are designed to fit around remaining natural teeth, substituting only the missing ones.
Tooth WhiteningAre you embarrassed by dark stains on your teeth? Or maybe you just want whiter teeth? Teeth whitening from Douglas Harty DDS PC and Wilson will make you want to smile again!

Safe lifestyle choices regarding smoking, and drug and alcohol use; oral cancer screenings; and prevention of gum disease.
Dental ExaminationOur goal is to help you keep your teeth healthy and attractive for a lifetime. Regular visits for cleaning and examinations can head off most situations before they become problems. But if a problem does arise, we’re here to answer questions, provide advice, cure, and restore.
X-raysAt your new patient appointment, we will be performing a variety of services in order to assist in providing you with the best care possible. These services include a one-on-one patient interview with the dentist, medical history review, oral cancer screening, complete set of dental x-rays, and a thorough examination.
