Nice man and nice office and staff. I went in to replace a filling that came out. I had my first experience probing., checking my gums. Did not hurt all was fine. He wanted to work on my gums, and only gave me a price on the filling. Within 4 days my jaw began to swell. Then throbbed!!! All of this came on so quickly. I had to go to one of those late night weekend dentists for help. My gums were inflamed from the dental probing just days before! They had to pull my one good tooth!!! NO other options! I went through so much pain!!! They could not numb the area to where it was completely numb!!!!!!!!!! I felt everything!!!!! I came out of that chair screaming......Now I had to chew on the bad side with my tooth that needed to be filled! I called the dentist told them what happened... and heard nothing back from them at all. Within a couple of days again... the tooth that I wanted filled (fixed) broke off even more... because I had to eat on that side of my mouth because of the good tooth that I lost due to the infection from the probing. Now the broken tooth was not at all fixable. Can not afford an implant... had to be pulled.... I went to another dentist to have it pulled.... I did not feel any pain.... I was crying because I actually felt nothing and was so grateful!!!! Now I have lost 2 good main chewing teeth.... researching the dental association sites, I found where up to 25 to 35 percent of people have gotten infections from probing. If the gums bleed when probed, then that patient should be given an antibiotic! If the dentist does not give you anything.... you may end up like me and will lose good teeth.. now I can no longer eat my favorite food well at all... steak :(! Those two teeth were my main chewing teeth. I now have a great fear of dentists!! PLEASE ASK FOR AN ANTIBIOTIC!!!!!!! If your gums bleed when probed be careful. This was a horrible thing to go through.... a nightmare, a nightmare I see every time I look in a mirror, and its there every time I try to eat my favorite food....
