China Buffet

We don't have a China Town here so there's really no authentic chinese food around and that brown sauce/white sauce garbage on all the dishes is strictly for the clueless crowd. China Buffet is the freshest and most varied selection of dishes. I personally like the choose your own meat and veggies and they grill it.

best buffet in the area. Beats driving to Burlington or Asheboro. No complaints

It's about time a really good Chinese buffet with great service, good food, a great

selection and a fairly reasonable price hit Greensoro. Took my wife last night, who

is the world's worst critic of buffets and she really liked it!!



The Sushi Bar is worked by a wonderful guy who really knows his skills and has

put out a wide range of some of the freshest sushi I have ever had at a buffet and

did I mention, it IS fresh? The, I call it, Mongolian Grill is good, close to Japanese

standards, but remember, it is more Mongolian than Chinese grilling wise, so ASK

for more seasoning on your dish, they will happily comply and you will be glad you

did!! Oh, and tip the Sushi and Grill folks they deserve it!!



The Chinese fare on the lines was always hot to warm, fresh and abundent, a

tray never went but a minute from being close to empty when it was immediately

filled with fresh food. Good Fresh Food Too!! Well seasoned and cooked

perfect. In fact, I have a new favorite dish since going here, Coconut Chicken.

The fried dishes were NOT oily and the Egg Drop soup was great. My only, and

I mean only, complaint was the Steamed Crabs,...a bit mushy for my tastes. But

let me say, with ALL the other dishes to sample, this was the least of my worries

and the selection is HUGE!!!



The wait staff was extremely friendly and never "hovered" over us, they quietly

asked if we needed a plate removed or our drinks refilled at seemingly just the

right moment. Very attentive!!!



Talked to the owner as I was paying our tab and they DO NOT do menu item

take out, just by the pound from the buffet. Reason? They want the chefs to

concentrate strictly on the buffet and grill items to maintain the quality of their

dishes and ensure there is always hot food available, not cooking individual

meals and breaking their routine. Made sense to me.



Also, the wife and I arrived around 7:15 PM and we were worried that with the

dinner time crowd already gone that the food might be lacking because the

"rush" was over. Not so. They don't close till 9 PM and from what we could tell,

the food never let up!! Seating is ample and the decor is beautiful with plenty

of parking outside.



Again, thankfully there is a REALLY GOOD Chinese buffet now in Greensboro

and we don't have to drive to High Point or Winston Salem for a good buffet

once the urge hits. Will have to attempt a lunch time trial to see if the same

dishes and service holds true with the "Lunch Crush",...maybe another review

later?
