Catnip Cottage at Best Friends Bed & Biscuit

My 2 babies, were dropped off today at 7:30 AM, thinking the babies getting groomed, they told me to bring them in early, as I always bring them in first thing in the morning, which I did. The phone rang at 1:53PM, thinking the babies are ready to be picked up, instead it was the groomer, she just gotten there, so from 7:30 AM til 1:53PM, my babies were there, in a cage, I did not appreciate them waiting this long, and having me bring them there for early this morning,,,,,, yet they always had the best grooming I must say, but recently, the grooming procedure has been bad, and I will no longer be taking them there here at Best Friends Bed & Biscuit .

We boarded our cat here from 2002 to 2011. She did well there until 2011. That year, when we returned to pick her up after a week's stay, the handler couldn't get her out of the cage and asked us to retrieve her. We went to the sunroom where they had the cats and were appalled by what we saw and smelled; cats in cages stacked from floor to ceiling on 3 walls of the room. None of the litter boxes had been cleaned in a while - smelled like forever. Our cat was cowering in a bottom cage as far from the opening as she could get and wouldn't even come out when we talked to her. She was jumpy and nonsocial for a week after we got her home. We will never use this facility again. It's my understanding that the business changed ownership a few years ago and we really noticed the difference. If you consider using them I'd be sure to check out the conditions before committing; maybe we just caught them at a bad moment?

We have had our dogs stay here and they loved it, the staff is very professional and you can see they love dogs. They have a play yard and walking times and the attention our dogs got was great. We plan on having them stay here again and again.
