        As a surgeon, I believe I have a duty to give my best not only to my patient's well-being but to the advancement of the field of plastic surgery as a whole. I believe in teaching and research and I believe in serving the less fortunate here at home and around the world. I believe that I have been true to my philosophy as evident in my training and 20 years of a practicing surgeon. As a plastic surgeon, I believe I have a unique role where I can make substantial difference in someone's life with my skills. Whether it is ending the cruelty and abuse a boy has felt all his life from having enlarged breasts or the child who has been ostracized from society and community for a cleft lip or restoring beauty to a woman who has been the victim of domestic violence. It is very rewarding to know that my skills as a surgeon can permanently change a child's life forever. I am enthralled that my career gives me the opportunity to fulfill this personal mission.
