Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center

A very nice hotel to stay at. Like living the life of luxury. Staff is always helpful with whatever is needed at the desk, bellhop as well as in the fine dining room.

I strongly urge anyone who is planning to spend money at the Gaylord Hotels to reconsider. They don't care about their employees! Tell me how can a company send out a termination letter to someone who is out on leave with Cancer on Christmas day causing them to loose their benefits including medical insurance which put a hold on their treatment because they have no insurance. Then tell that same person when you get ready we will hire you back we are holding your position and gives them a false sense of hope. Then when that person is able to start work again they find reasons not to!



Gaylord Hotels only cares about making money not about the people who help them make their money! Human Resources cares more about holding luncheons and "Pep Rallies" more then they care about the people who have saved them millions of dollars of costly repairs and replacements while being employed there.



I say let's stick it to Gaylord and show them where it really hurts! In their pocketbooks.



So if you have reservations there or plan on having dinner or drinks please show Gaylord you care about there Cancer employees and cancel those plans. I hear there is a great place across the street!

Gorgeous hotel that really feels like a tast of Texas. Fun even for locals to visit for the day and walk around. Food is a little bit pricey, but that is expected at a hotel of this type.

This place is beautiful, clean, wellstaffed and huge.

I go here at least twice and year. Xmas at Gaylord is amazing

If you are looking for a small town B&B to go to in Grapevine for one of their festivals or to just window shop on the historic Main Street area, then the the Gaylord might not be what you are looking for. Although it is just a very short trip over to the Main Street area and I would still recommend that, the Gaylord is basically a city unto itself. The glass ceiling is so high in the main area and the vegetation so complete that you do almost feel like you are outside. They have nice rooms, a large conference facility, and some good restaurants (at which you definitely pay for the quality). The whole building complex is very very impressive. Additionally, there is the Glass Cactus which is their bar/restaurant/club on the lake which is pretty neat. I definitely recommend staying at the Gaylord.



Even though it is huge, if you get claustrophobic by the Truman Show-ness of the whole complex, you can make it easily over to Grapevine Mills mall, or Bass Pro Shops, or the Cowboys golf course (very nice but pretty expensive), or the city of Grapevine golf course, or the Main Street area. It is my understanding that the Gaylord doesn't run the same shuttles that they used to to the surrounding areas but that in the early Fall, I think I heard September the city of Grapevine is picking up the slack with a more complete system.

The Gaylord is definately worth every penny. It is a top rate resort and I would recomend it to anyone looking for exceptional service.

Beautiful ambience. The restaurants are great, but a bit pricy. Fun to go and just walk around and look at the Christas decor.

My family and I went for the Ice exhibit last year and are going back Thanksgiving Night. The exhibit is awesome and the decorations throughout the hotel are amazing.
